I have done the last couple of winters as I was very inactive due to needing OPs on my knees, but I've now had one done and its made such a difference, I'm out up the hill and through the woods every day again with The Hairy Gang and last week I started back Swimming, so I will be doing this all through the winter so I hope the weight stays off, even though I do tend to eat a bit more when its cold.

Summer's easy with all the squash, fresh greens, and light fare but winter's a real challenge. I pull out the crock pot and have lots of hearty soups and stews and big pots of pinto beans with ham hocks and crusty cornbread. And then there are the holidays to get through without wearing them on my hips! But I got serious 7 years ago and lost 90 pounds and I'm determined to keep that blubber off! So I try to fill up on lots of iced tea, salads, and vegetables before I go for the really tempting pound-packing stuff.

No, I eat more ice cream and treats during the summer. It's also so hot in the summer, I'm more active in the winter. If I gain a few pounds, I usually take them off when cold weather comes.

No, I put on weight in the summer. It's to hot to go out of the air conditioning so I stay in, eat, and don't get any exercise. The winters are nice and I get out and about more.

No. I love cold weather and do more in winter than summer. The heat makes me sit and eat. However, I maintain the same weight no matter how much I eat.

Of course, we need the extra to keep warm! Yorkshire puds, dumplings in stews or cooked in the oven...mmm crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle...yummy! It's all unecessary really coz we can still buy salad all through the winter but what fun would be in that!

No because i love the cold, when everyone else is inside im outside with a wool hat and polo shirt jumping around laughing and acting like a loonatic with blizzard winds and sometimes small showers.
Ofcourse this is normally around midnight when i finish work.

Sure do....I eat more 'comfort' foods in the winter not to mention the holiday fare adds lbs! -AND I'm less active as I don't care for cold weather and get out less.

I used to. It is really easy to do. But now we have all these exercise machines in the front room and the tv right there so no excuses anymore. Also eating much better since my little scare with cholesterol.

No, I'm more active in the winter due to the fact it's cooler.
