how do u disable the passenger airbag on a bmw 318i se 1999 for to put a child seat in the front?

unless you have a key operated switch for the air bag to turn on and off then you will need to go to your dealer and get them to switch it off as it will need coding so all the other air bags will still work and the warning light will stay off. They basically just get a set of codes emailed to them from BMW and put these in to the car so the software knows what to do.Hope this helps

All the airbags have fuses so find out which fuse is for the airbag you want and take it out.
