OK NOW I KNOW ....that Motorcraft is associated with Ford, AC Delco autolite GM chrysler, NGK jap stuff, Bosch German cars....blah blah And at one point they maybe performed better with said car company. Now days I assume it doesn't make a big deal. Next spring I'm gonna replace my Sparkplugs & Wires on my 86 Dodge 600 k car......I'm apt to get NGK plugs because I hear they are really really good. Good Idea Bad Idea........can anyone tell me if i'm wrong right or suggestions I know its not rocket science but I wanna see what people have to say that know.

NGK's are fine. Remember, half the engines in today's cars are Asian, which is copied from German design.

Youre right.. its not rocket science. An 86 dodge is not going to know the difference between an NGK or some rusty old wire. Buy the cheapest.

My uncle a 25 year ase mech. Told me it doesnt really matter usally just a normal copper single spark plug is good for most cars. Only time you should even think about something differant if you have a real high performance car. Even most street and drag cars a single spark bosch should be fine.

The "original" plug for your car was probably a Champion but NGK & Bosch are both very good quality plugs and will work fine.

As long as the specified distance is accurately set ,there is no dirt in it n importantly it is connected to the battery, any n all Spark Plug will work fine.
If u want more performance, install Iridium Plugs. this is the simplest sort of performance modification available.
Remember to set the prescribed distance n keep it clean.

Here's my opinion.

Different car manufactures get better deals from different spark plug company's during manufacturing.
You figure they're using hundreds of thousands of spark plugs in their cars.
European cars use European spark plugs.
American cars use American spark plugs.

A spark plug's, a spark plug's, a spark plug.

Use what ever makes you happy.
