The engine light is on that means that whatever caused this is stored in the cars computer, get the codes read and fix the problem.

idle speed is too slow, possibly due to a misfiring sparkplug. With the engine running, pop the hood and pull the spark plug wires off one at a time(grabbing the wire close to the plug). If that plug is working the engine will really shake or shut off. If it does, put the wire back on the plug and restart the car. Go and try the next, and the next. If, when you remove the wire the car shake does not change, you have found the problem cylinder/plug. When the engine is cold, remove the plug and change for a new one and put spark wire back on. Try restart. Should clear up.
If not then another problem. But one at a time.

If your mechanic had done the repair work, he would be responsible for the result, not you! You also would have gotten a parts warranty through him. I'm not saying don't try to fix your own car, but I'm saying you have to do better testing to see what's wrong with it before you replace expensive parts that may not need replacing. Start with the check engine light again after you've reset it with your OBD-II code reader or scanner. Then go to the diagnostic tree procedure for any new error code that is registered and BEGIN troubleshooting the true problem.

Wow, i might discover yet another storage and rapid.... a million) O2 sensors for the two run approximately $3 hundred, possibly take an hour to put in. 2) Valve conceal gaskets run as much as approximately $50 on that engine, returned approximately 2 hours exertions. 3) Transmission gaskets (with new filter out) run from $15 as much as $$40 and basically take approximately an hour. so which you're watching basically $4 hundred for aspects and four-5 hours for exertions so sounds like a $900 pastime, till i'm lacking something. you're able to desire to discover a stable storage to do extra value-effective, or you're able to desire to aim doing your self, in case you have a while.

Maybe you lost a mounting bolt that holds your engine to the block.

At what RPM's does this occur? Is there any vacuum leaks (this includes the brake booster?)
