At my school (I live in the US), on tuesdays, wednesdays, and thursdays we have block scheduling. So on Monday's and Friday's we have all 6 of our classes for about 53 minutes each. On the block days, we only have four of our classes for about 85 min each. So there are some days where we don't have 2 of our classes. Does that make sense??? I like it. You can put off you hw if you don't have a certain class on a certain day. Hope this helped!

Put simply, block scheduling is a day with only 4 classes. Each class is an hour and a half long. Then in January or mid-year, you get a new 4 classes totaling 8 classes a year.
