It's Canada, although I would expect us to be soon caught by Japan. We're producing more and better players up here, but the Japanese obviously have a much stronger base from which to draw.

here are all the japanese baseball players i know in the majors. if somebody else can name the canadians then we'll know: Ichiro (OF-Mariners), Johjima (C-Mariners), Saito (RHP-Dodgers), Iwamura (3B-Devil Rays), Kaz Matsui (2B- Rockies), Iguchi (2B-Phillies), Okajima (LHP-Red Sox), Matsuzaka (RHP-Red Sox), Otsuka (RHP-Rangers), Hideki Matsui (OF-Yankees). That's ten.

I dont really know the Canadians, I know there are quite a few. Bedard, Gange, Dempters, Harden, Francis, just to name a few. As well as that catcher for the Dodgers, i forget his name.

probably more canadians the only japanese player i kno is Hideki Matsui and he rocks!!! but japan has their own baseball teams so i guess they dont waste time in the US
