How can we fight social bullying?

I'm not sure what social bullying is but it seems like what we are trained to accept from cradle to grave. Try asking for your entitlements from any social services department and see what their response amounts to.

I believe, and have for years, that bullying awareness and prevention should begin at the earliest level...elementary school where it begins. There should be awareness classes and role playing with each student taking turns at being the one who bullies and the victim of the bullying. It has been accepted as a natural rite of passage for kids, (and most move beyond that stage) but what happens sometimes is, the bully gets a taste for it, likes the power and control, and carries it with them into adulthood where, as another poster so aptly stated, they get jobs at Social Security and IRS.

we, as a social people, have classes of our " betters' but I do not agree with that mythos. The English had social bullying, with their royalty, and " we are better than you" attitude. they invented classes of people. But they did not have a handle on social bullying. that came into play about the last fifty or so years. Royalty, wealthy, moderate ( commoners) and the poor that was the classes of ppl in England, til about fifty years ago. Now the Royal family is more tangible than they ever were, now. . Now, they still have social classes, but it is better than it was centuries ago.
