Why doesn't Edwards have greater support, his answers are wide and seem to be very thoughtful as opposed to Clinton and Obama who seem to be always fighting and putting their feet in their mouths..and their speeches just superficial

I agree with you. Edwards stands for the foundation of the Democrats. He is grounded and not far out to the right as Hillary is. Hillary will loose the women's vote, and her "butch" look wont gain the "gay" vote. Obama wont be able to sustain the "black" vote. Edwards light will get brighter as people realize that Clinton is so bad for this country, and Obama, give him another 4 years, will grow to earn the trust. EDIT: Thank you FORD for the support. Many other answers are ignorant, and they don't watch or listen to what Hillary is saying. Example: Hillary voted for the war in Iraq, has recanted. Hillary has voted for war against Iran. Depending on her poll results from her vote, she will recant again. Edwards sticks to his vote. EDIT(2): Hillary makes no mention of the "working class", you know us blue collar workers, and moving our jobs to foreign countries.

Edwards is the candidate who consistently beats every GOP candidate in the polls, and by a wider margin than Clinton or Obama...

but the media have decided who the major candidates are, and they have decided that the election will hinge on who raises the most money.

it's all about coverage. if the people of left-leaning America were as equally exposed to the images and quotes of Dennis Kucinich as they are to Obama's or Clinton's, this wouldn't even be a contest. maybe Edwards could be HIS veep.

the American public is too used to responding to sales pitches, used cars salespeople, advertising....they no longer know the real thing when they hear it......Biden, Edwards, Richardson are the real thing on the Dem side but the people can no longer see that...they're looking for the more familiar approach of the sales pitch. Romney is a great example of the sales pitch for the Reps.

I am a Hillary Clinton supporter and I hope she does not chose Edwards as candidate for V.P. My reasons are very irrational because I think he is qualified and would do a very good job.
When his wife Elizabeth announced that her cancer had returned I felt it was his turn to devote all his time, energy and love to her and their family. Fighting cancer is tough and any cancer patient needs every bit of support they can get. The campaign trail is very demanding and I don't think it is what she needs now.
As I said, my very personal take on Edwards.

I agree, I think Edwards is the smartest Dem candidate. I think thats why he's not doing better. It's about feelings.

I really don't know why.
he doesn't have as much money as the other candidates so it could possibly be that he can't afford to have his face plastered all over the nation as much.

He is a fraud. Edwards is a personal injury attorney. He made millions manipulating people. He has nothing worthwhile to offer to the American public. You are being duped by his slick tongue.

Because he's a phony plastic sham? Even the "poor" who he claims to be crusading for can see through his hypocrisy.

It doesn't seem like he is running for President for me, he seems like he wants to be Hillary's VP.
