Its fair to them. The league asked who wanted to give up a home game to play at a neutral site. They said they would. They do get paid for it so its not like the team is losing money. The businesses around the stadium probably do but that's not the teams problem.
People don't get a game ticket taken away that they paid for. Its a positive for teams that struggle with attendance. They know how many people they will draw per year. This just gets them there in 7 games instead of 8. They weren't going to sell out anyways and this just gets some of those people who would go to this game will probably just go to a different game and help the attendance for that week. A team with good attendance isn't going to give up a home game because they know they will sell out all their games.
I think the 17th game is stupid unless they drop a preseason game. Its not too bad for east coast teams to fly to Europe but for west coast teams to go there would probably kill them unless they had a bye week right after or before to readjust.

I agree. It is unfair to the Dolphins as well as their fans to have a regular season home game in London. If the NFL wants to appeal to an international fan base they need to schedule an extra game, or schedule more exhibition games. I think any fan loyal to a particular team would agree.

I'm pretty sure that the league is compensating them adequately to offset the loss of the 10-12,000 Dolphin fans who are still showing up to watch an 0-7 team play.

I think it's unfair...exhibition is one thing but to have a regular season game somewhere most fans of either team cannot reach is ridiculous. I don't care how bad a team is...a true sports fan stands by their team no matter what and many want to attend the games of their teams.

The truth is if Miami played at home that there would probably be more Giant fans there , due to the large # of transplanted New Yorkers to the area and the fact that the Dolphins stink . Tell me , If you were a Dolphin fan , Would you go see them? Thank you

that would mean adding 16 more games to the schedule if you add week 18 and the season is already long enough. and yes it is unfair to the dolphins but does it even matter, that team is so bad they should be happy to lose games, maybe they'll be able to draft Glenn Dorsey to revitalize that aging defense

It's just a game. The Dolphins can lose anywhere in the world. No problem.
