religion and belligerence.

if you're still one of the 20-something percent of America who doesn't mind being raped by the federal government while they brutalize people around the world in your name, then you're obviously highly religious (and therefore must support whichever party is least tolerant of the things that are against your religion), or you're a belligerent bully who should be working for them.

I guess everyone bashing the " Democratic congress " thinks every member is a Democrat? Polls show that The republican members rate lower than the Democrats. Anyway, to answer your question, some people are just loyal to the point of not seeing fault with their candidate. You can tell by the answers. They don't argue for their president, they bring up the opposition. Is getting boring. I voted for Bush but I don't feel he is doing a good job.

Self-interest at the expense of others. I'd argue that primarily is the only thing that guides most of them. The military has to support their President but, people outside of that sphere are looking to keep more of their own money as they like to say. What they forget is that their money isn't all theirs. They do live here and are subject to paying to keep society moving and make sure that bridges aren't falling down and that we have adequate disaster relief. A flat tax would be really nice. Imagine that the 10k a year you pay in taxes if you make around 40k a year comes out to be 100k if you make 400k a year. People get mad when they have to pay such disproportionate amounts of money but, they forget they also earn such disproportionate amounts as well.

Anyone who doesn't make that kind of cash really shouldn't support Bush because his policies hurt them. So, a lot of them are just taken in by Rush, O'Reilly, et alis.

The defining characteristics of Bush Supporters are naivete and hypocrisy. Clearly these are evidenced in their beliefs and actions;

Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

It's right to resurrect the memories of 9-11, it's victims and their mourning loved ones UNLESS those loved ones disagree with you, in which case you call them "money grubbing wh**es enjoying their husbands deaths".

"Standing Tall for America" means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India.

Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.

If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.

Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

They are hatchling laid in the same basket by invaders from the planet Brain Surgery. They share the void that is their one hatchling mind. Their group destiny is to prepare for the 2nd Coming of RonnieGod, afterwhich they have faith that they will enjoy being eternally sodomized on planet Brain Surgery. When confused, which happens at least 3 times daily, they kneel on their blankies and chant to their RonnieGod shrines "what would RonnieGod do?" They love to accuse Earthlings of being what they are, hoping no one will notice. If anyone does they close their eyes and chant "what would RonnieGod do?" until an elevated hatchling comes on TV or radio and channels RonnieGod.

The Bush Supporter has morphed into
a bizarre new creature as well getting
further and further from reality.

They are terrified, and it is palpable.

They are listening to Prezl and his minions speak
of a world that is not this solid one - we all live in -
but a make-believe one that they want desperately.

The Dubya believers have responded to their phobiae
and the fear mongering of the Bushites for so long that
the reality of Cheney and his gang is not registering.

It is like watching the chimp on the
Nature Channel whose infant has died,
and she still carries it around, nurturing its
limp lifeless body, unable to accept the obvious.

They own a particularly tight fitting pair of blinders.

They are gullible beyond belief.

They are devotees of Karl Rove and his brand of smear politics.

They get their talking points from nitwits like Rush Limbaugh and poisonous Ann Coulter and about worship Bill O'Reilly.

They depend on FAUX News for their view of the world.

They believe anything Bush says, no matter how ridiculous and insulting to our intelligence it is.

They accuse everyone who doesn't think like them of being traitors, liberals, terrorist lovers and cowards - did I mention they are devotees of Rove and learned this tactic from him and his minions? Yeah, but it was worth repeating.

They don't mind being billions of dollars in debt to China thanks to George Bush, but don't mind trying to paint Clinton as a pawn of the Chinese lol.

They think the Republicans actually stand a chance in November 2008.
