Call the Dealer and see what a new one cost. Then call a few Junk Yards and ask. This year model may not be many in the Junk Yard, but, you may be able to get an idea what they would sell one for.
Say the Dealer want $1,500 for a new one (Yea, it probably more). The Junk Yard may ask $800. Then you can figure around $500-600 maybe and it be a "Jump to get" deal. Many people may be more cautious buying from an individual. They thinking, what was wrong with this when he take it out? Junk yards may warranty theirs for 30 days (Ask). You may want to do the same. But, this can work against you if the person not honest. Heck, they may try to bring their old one back for their money. So, mark yours in a way you know or look for some numbers that always different. My main Junk Yard source always marks everything a person buy, as they know how people are.
