I think they like to try anything they can to have a poll where someone else comes out on top, but it isnt going to happen. Ron Paul is the only candidate that knows who is running our government. The only man speaking truths. if the American people were educated by anything but TV news everyone would see their only choice for American liberty is Ron Paul.
Make this country free again and stop the madness that has taken habeas corpus, our privacy our free speech.

We survived 124 years without a national income tax..why do we need one now? Government is too bloated and the income tax just gives the Fed more of my cash to spend. Women not being allowed to vote was once legal, too....doesn't mean it was good for the country.
The U.S. tax code is largely a means of social architecture anyway. If the only goal was to derive the cash the Fed operates on, that could be done with an easy across the board flat income tax that could be directly withheld without requiring the yearly inconvenience of filling out forms to try and find the loopholes/deductions to pay less.
That would also allow the IRS to vastly reduce staff since auditors wouldn't really be needed if the money were directly taken out for income...capital gains..etc. But then there wouldn't be any entitlement program "carrot on a stick" that could be used by pols to wave in front of groups as an enticement to grab their votes.

Not sure, but he has my vote
Your Best Fiend: First of all Paul is opposed to abortion on a personal level, but he does not believe that the government can impose it's personal beliefs on it's citizens, so he left the choice up to the states... Second of all the income tax, was not added to the Constitution much later, it was not something that was done originally by the founding fathers... If you are going to make accusations, at least make sure they are accurate!

Ron Paul is winning the polls with people who stay informed and look at all candidates as posibilities. He is losing mainline polls because most people do not inform themselves and just go by name recognition.
Oh yeah, and then there's the lying media!

Straw polls are extremely limited. If we had a straw poll of ten people and 8 voted for Ron Paul, then he would have won with 80%. Further, internet polls have few restrictions on them so that they are not necessarily representative of what most people think. They only represent the people who have access to that poll.
As for Ron Paul, he is a pure states' right candidate. In addition, he believes that all the founder fathers were Christians. And, he is against a woman's right to choose. Those views suggest that he isn't really a Libertarian. Plus, he claims to be a strict Constitutionalist, but he is against the income tax which is IN THE CONSTITUTION (as an amendment).
So, he is a liar, and people who think he is a great guy are deluding themselves.

Hooboy is that link annoying. Couldn't he spend more time editing? Maybe he could stumble through that a little more spectacularly and waste even more of our time?
Aren't straw polls kind of like straw men? Easily debunked and kind of useless if you have a real debate. Ron Paul is a libertarian and even most Republicans aren't really libertarian.

Polls done by the people are fake, the real polls are the polls done in secret.
