Who will emerge as the main challenge to Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primaries?

Obama and Edwards have both been falling in the polls over the past few months. With Clinton at 48, Obama 17, Edwards 13. But what;s worth noting is that Obama is down from 24 and Edwards is up from 10. That seems to suggest that at least some of Obama's support went to Edwards. And only four points behind Obama in national polls, if the trend continues, Edwards is poised to take second place from Obama. It will be a still very distant second place, but could boost him in Iowa, where he initially led and still shows signs of life.

Obama may now not only be in the difficult position of trying to catch up to Clinton, but mainitaining his second place lead as Edwards is fast approaching on him. If Edwards overtakes Obama, it could be a big story which boosts Edwards and could potentially eliminate Obama.

Funny but after feeding everyone today and getting the cats out it hit me that all I know about Edwards is the "$400 haircut" and Obama is that he does not like anyone talking about his ears.

Then I thought maybe the guy gave someone that needed some cash $400 as a tip as i do stuff like that Not 400), but then I know he is an attorney.

In my state they did tort reform and now the max is about $500,000 if they kill your bread winner and half goes to the attorney. instead of being more careful it seems more are being subjected to more errors by nurses and doctors and the death rate is up. $250,000 is not much for my friends wife and four kids.

For example a friend went in for a stint and it was all over his charts and told them he was allergic to benydril (msp) and they pumped him full of it and killed him and then covered it up. Later the nurse state she asked him and he said it was ok, which was bull. Then in another case they dropped a friends elderly parent off a platform onto a concerete floor and covered that up and shipped them out of the hospital, without telling anyone resullting in horrible consequences. The attorneys for the hospital lied, but he had all the evidence, but the judge dropped the case as both the firm and hospital are big supporters.

As far as polls I do not trust them as I have seen polls about different things and know I and freinds guess different, as you have and it ended up we (you) were right and poll was biased. I would not trust anything I hear.

Obama would be a logical choice if she is really upset about the "Iowa/Mississioppi deal, but Edwards can pull in more women than she can. What are the basic things they plan to do beside not BUILD THE FENCE! Take care.

None of them have my vote, but I would hope for John Edwards. I have reviewed both Hillary's and Obama's voting records.. I disagree with many issues that Hillary Clinton is an advocate for.. and I have realized that Barack Obama will preach about one thing on stage, but his voting record conflicts with what he states

I'm not a big fan of John Edwards, but I give him credit for at least not dodging the questions like these two, and posing valid arguements.. He was the only one on stage out of these three to also guarantee that he could have the troops out by 2013, which was a promise neither Obama or Clinton to make.. And also keep in mind that he was the only one out of these three to vote NO on Bush's Iran Resolution....

Obama isn't much different from Hillary, but Edwards is.. I think people are begining to realize that, and it is resulting in him, moving up in the polls.

The polls change depending on who is asking. A Yahoo! poll shows Obama having a small lead over Clinton with Edwards trailing by about 20%.

Edwards is a strong candidate though. He should end up either in the lead or in the VP slot.

This is not a horse race, nor is it "American Idol". The polls are far less important than the message of each candidate. Sadly, politics is turning into a popularity contest. It is beginning to play like a reality TV show instead of real life.
