ok, there are few things i enjoy more than going to the cinema (pretty pathetic, huh?) i absolutely love going ESPECIALLY in the middle of the day - it is like escaping from the reg hustle and bustle of the world and slide into another world, a make believe world while eating the best buttery popcorn ever. i totally tune everything else out and just get lost in the movie. there are very few movies that i wont get something out of and i usually choose movies based on my mood. I enjoy going with ppl but i can also go solo, doesnt bother me. everytime i travel out of town for my job, i find the cinema and at times i see 2 back to back (but no, i dont sneak in the second one for free like a lot of ppl i know) lol
so pros...
love the big screen and how it makes you feel like you are shut out from rest of world
you blend in with the crowd
can go w/friends, something to debate/dish together
great snacks
cons....
hmmm cant think of any (unless ppl say money, rather be home in boxers watching, blah blah blah)

I stay home, because ...
with a little patience ... I can then PURCHASE the DVD when it first comes out in that form for CHEAPER than a trip to the Theater (That is for sure!) and my snacks at home are HEALTHY TOO ... plus, I do NOT have to deal with FILTHY, nasty Theater Seating, dirty bathrooms, rude kids (including teens -- the biggest offenders) who interrupt the movie (that I Felt was actually worth seeing in the first place), kids out of control and running all around, etc etc etc.
Who wants to sit in cramped, dirty, nasty, sticky places ... when they can be comfy at home, DVD in their player, looking at their Flat Screen TV, curled up on their CLEAN sofa (no sticky floors here), healthy snacks at hand, no interruptions, get to skip over the commercials, nice, soft comforter at hand (with a special someone curled up next to them), and ... when we need to use the bathroom or take a break .. there is the PAUSE key so that we do NOT miss anything on the movie!

While it's entertaining it costs money and may seem to some like a waste of time. In the end it all depends what is important to you. It's your choice to go or not.

people need not actually go to cinemas once a month..
but some prefer to do because it is their way of releasing stress, and tension.. it is their means of relaxation.. i for one make it a point to watch a film every now and then because i find such thing worth my time, relaxing, and de-stressing..

because they are lonely and for once sorta tired of being locked up in the house, and they dont really care for a lot of their friends
