One of many reasons is that America no longer is a country that the rest of the world admire. It's on the contrary and only because of America's cocky style to go to war in Iraq on false premises and against United Nations and most of the countries in the world.
Another reason is that America and Bush during a long time have refused to listen to the rest of the world when it comes to environmental issues.

For what it's worth. Many human beings (on both sides of the political fence) seem to need to have some scapegoat to blame for all the things that don't go the way they would like. This is particularly true with Liberals who are loathe to take any personal responsibility for their own actions. It's not easy to accuse someone you like, so Liberals vilify those who are least like them, in matters of politics, namely, Conservatives. That is another reason why the rhetoric is at its current level, ie Conservatives are hate-full, mean spirited, money grubbing warmongering bigots who foul the environment for their own amusement. Much easier to hate someone mean and bad.
Ironic though, the most hateful and vitriolic comments I see are posted by Liberals about conservatives. Sure, we Cons have some name callers too, but I'd love to have time some day to record, compare and contrast to see what the stats really say.

The problem seems to be that liberals preach free speech, but then get mad because their ideas don't stand up against truth. This causes them to hate those who disagree and provide truth.
It is true the Republicans and Democrats can both be very hateful, but it is not true the Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, etc. are not hate filled. However, they do bring out truth and therefore the hatred of liberals.
If you really want to see hate, you only have to look as far as Reid, Obama, or either Clinton. They are constantly hateful in how they refer to those they disagree with. Again, this is because their ideas fail miserably.
Republicans stand for ideas. Democrats stand for hate, oppression of minorities and power at any cost. The only way they can obtain this is through hate filled lies.

I am a Democrat and I don't like Bush and company at all...and there are Republicans that I feel the same about....but there are extremists on the Liberal fringe that are just as bad...I think that middle ground Conservatives serve a good purpose in America...they are patriotic and want to make this a better place, it's just that my views and theirs separate in the basic methods used to determine the best outcome....between views like mine as a moderately liberal Democrat and a middle ground Republican, this country will forge ahead and the best way is to be found...we will work together, but sometimes it ain't pretty.

There is no love lost for the opposition by either side on this board. Welcome to America, kiddies! We have always had freedom of thought and at least 2 parties to choose from.
I'm more concerned about the lack of intelligence that seems to accompany the hate.

Hate implies a passion of feeling I simply do not feel for ignorant, uneducatable Republicans in Yahoo Answers.
The most trollish "questioners" in Y/A Politics are obviously "conservatives" who display their obvious intolerance and hate for anyone who doesn't immediately jump right in line and march to their drummer, who want to solve any crisis or foreign issue with bombs and nukes, who insult, condescend and call those who don't agree childish names.
Hate is an immature emotion, only felt by those whose souls are so undeveloped they can only make their point by violence and division.
What I mostly feel about "republicans" in Yahoo Answers is a vague pity, occasionally interspersed with mild concern that some of the REAL "out there" trolls may actually convince readers their hate is a legitimate way to feel (must come from illegal nannies raising them instead of their parents).

Maybe because the republican party betrayed the people by not bothering to investigate the worst tragedy in 60 years!
Maybe because the republican president betrayed his oath of office by ignoring national security and terrorism until after we were attacked.Maybe because the investigation they did set up raised more questions then it answered?Such as why did we have the 20th hijacker in FBI custody(minneapolis) for weeks before 911 and not foil the plot? Why did FBI HQ deny Minneapolis' repeated requests for FISA warrants? What orders did Bush give after receiving the warning on 8/6/01 that Bin Laden was determined to strike inside the US?

I am an Independent and i do not hate the Republicans i hate the fact that Most Republicans dont seem to mind who and what they do when they are put in the white such as our current administration if the GOP would stand up and say Yes we blew this past 2 elections but will do better in the next i would have alot of respect for them. The fact that they dont care what happens after as long as they win bothers me .
