If you want to start cross-dressing, then start, you need to go shopping & get yourself some new clothes. If you don't want to go shopping, there are plenty of places on-line that can help you get what you need. And even if you don't go out in public when you're dressed as a girl, you'll still be able to have plenty of fun. You should at least try & go out on Halloween dressed as a girl, that's the best time & you would have even more fun.

Makeup is a very individual thing - it's almost an extension of your personality - as well as a chance to hide any little imperfections.
Depending on your hair colour and 'strength' of beard growth you may need a good concealer before you even get to foundation. Check out 'Dermacolour' or 'Dermablend'. There's some information here http://www.transliving.co.uk/tc-online/index.html
You will probably want to avoid drawing too much attention to yourself, so don't overdo makeup. Keep it simple and use natural colours to highlight your best features.
For best effect, look at how girls of your age and skin colour wear every day makeup-wise You may be really lucky and find a sympathetic female friend who'll give you some lessons. Otherwise, there are websites that'll allow you to upload a picture of yourself and 'practice' with colours etc.
Google 'virtual makeover' and you'll get links to sites like this..

Start buying clothes! I think its great you've come to this conclusion, but now you have to take action! Go to the mall, and buy some clothes. Go to a store where the clerks don't have to let you into the dressing room, so you won't be embarrassed when they look at you funny for trying on womens clothes. Try jcpenny, macys, or american eagle (american eagle you can sit in the dressing room until someone comes out and you can take their dressing room).
Then when your at home, when everyones asleep, or no ones home, try the stuff on.
Buy a waterbra so you can get the affect of having boobs.
You cant do much in public now, since you are only 16. But once your 18 and comfortable, take a step out and go to a club dressed as a woman.
Its more widely accepted now than it used to be, so don't worry about what people will think. And if they look at you funny, screw it. your doing what you want :] good luck!

I would suggest doing your own laundry! No seriously its going to take some research trial and error before you figure out your size but once you do it wont be hard. I work at a womens store and we have men come in all the time and buy stuff for their wives. Its no big deal to see a guy in there so dont worry or feel anxious. We also have a lot of cross dressers come in and most of them are some of our favorite customers because they are so nice! Good Luck!!

if your scared, just say your buying clothes for a girlfriend and take them home to wear them or order them online or from a cataloge.
you could start with tops, ones that are slightly feminin and carry on from there.
i think its great that you want to do this, and keep towards your goal no matter what.

Wait what? You want to crossdress but you're straight? Well many girls may have a problem with that but it's your decision.

I would reccommend starting natural, maybe just by wearing adies' underwear at first. That way, only you will know. Then, build your way up to whatever clothes you like, and make up too. Start simply and subtely.

Go to 'Transformation' on Eversholt Street, near Euston station. They can advise you.
Alternatively, maybe you should go see a shrink.
