actually I'm such a cry baby
every time i feel sad or mad at somebody I will cry to relieve myself..
But i know this is a bad way to express or to let go all of your sadness and pain..
Do you know any other way to prevent crying?

If you need to cry - you probably won't be able to stop it. However if I am ever in a position where I can't cry I just follow the credo of Scarlet O'Hara (Gone With the Wind) "I'll just think of that tomorrow." Seems trite but you will have to face this emotion sometime - the more you hold in a crying jag the worse it gets. Think of a better thought (happy memories, a math problem, a movie scene) just to distract you until you can deal with the emotions in a better and more controlled environment. Then when you have a time to deal with it - do - even if you have to watch a sappy tearjerker movie to get you started. Crying is healthy but not always well timed so with some practice you can learn to hold off on the water works until you can just let them go. Good Luck!

I know EXACTLY how you feel! I am such a big crybaby! I cry when I get nervous, frustrated and scared, and sad too. Sometimes I cry for no reason. Here's some tips I personally use to keep from crying:
1) When you feel your eyes start to water, blink A LOT. It really does help(x
2) Say a funny word over and over again in your head, that way you have something else to focus on. For example:
"Herbert, Sherbert, Herbert, Sherbert..."
3) If you really need to cry and you even WANT to cry, excuse yourself from wherever you are (dinner, class, movies...) and go to the nearest bathroom and let it allllll out, honey!

HOPE I HELPED<3

If you're crying too much it could be because when you were a child this helped you get the comfort or results you needed. When you feel yourself welling up with tears for trivial reasons, just remind yourself that you are an adult now and ask yourself how an adult should handel the situation. This might take some practise but eventually you can train yourself to respond properly to stressful or upsetting situations.

In office environment, it is not appriciated if you break into tears.
So In such a case, if your tears do appear .. say something like ' Excuse me - my contact lences are playing up' - and leave for the rest room - fix your self - cry as much as you want , sober up and return.

In a non office environment - it is always ok to express your emotions. If you are sad - you cry - its all right !

There is nothing wrong with crying because you are sad. However if you cry all the time for no apparent reason you may need anti-depressant medications. Look at all the trouble it got Ellen Degeneres in!

Don't try to prevent crying.

It's better to let it out.

People who don't cry end up hurting themselves psychologically, and everyone around them, too.

It is NOT a bad way to express. It's one, perfectly legitimate way. Words are also good. When you've had your cry, are you able to talk about what's wrong?

You might consider therapy; that could help you figure out whether you are crying because of underlying problems, or, if not, how to cope with it.

As someone who has tended to stifle crying, I must say, doing so is really bad.

Who told you a good cry was a bad thing??? I think it's essential for us be real... if you feel like crying... have a good cry! You already said it made you feel better...

To dam up all your emotions can be very harmful.

If it's not broken don't fix it!

There's nothing wrong with crying. In fact, its a good way of relieving stress.

In my opinion, I suggest you cry more. Not crying will build up emotions until in time you will just explode. Literally

Don't bottle up your emotions
