Little Styrofoam balls and small dowels and glue for the base pairs and bonds. If you do it right you can make it spiral. Get a picture of a double helix to go by. Once you have that I'm sure you can figure out something simple for the sugar and phosphate.

Why do you don't only do this with paper and colors?
