US and UK are different, and a pc may have a UK keyboard with US settings of vice versa. You can change this in your settings.

If your @ on your keyboard is SHIFT + "apostrophe" (near colon and to left of enter) then try SHIFT + 2 instead. And vice versa if SHIFT + "apostrophe" gives speech marks normally

Yes. Go to Date/Time and Language in Control Panel and check you have English United Kingdom boxes ticked. Then click apply.

you should get it while pressing shift and number 2.
If the problem still persists use onscreen keyboard which is available in windows.
Goto accessories->Accessibility. there you will find onscreen keyboard their i think u can get it.

first u press the shift key then u press the key with the @ sign on it! =]

IN CHARACTER MAP U WILL FIND THE @ SYMBOL AND COPY AND PASTE IT FROM THERE
