Hai,
Rain occurs when moist air rises and cools. The cooling causes the moisture to condense and fall as rain. There are four different mechanisms that cause air to rise and each one gives a different type of rain with its own distinct type of cloud and properties. The four types of rain are listed below:
1.Convection
2.Relief
3.Frontal
4.Monsoon
thankyou, and hoping this answer would help you better.

Before rain can occur clouds have to form that occurs when the dew point reaches the LCL (lifting condensation level) producing clouds thats the beginning of the process. The scientific name and explanation of how rain forms is called the Bergeron Process. Rain will grow large enough to fall and hit other rain droplets on the way down and grow larger this is called collision coalescence process. When clouds can no longer hold the rain it falls and because of friction (air) if breaks up in to different sizes between 1-5 mm. Drizzle and mist is smaller then that Drizzle is from about .5mm-.9mm and mist is smaller then .5mm.

To make rain, the condensation gets so heavy that they fall out of the sky. and 4 snow, the air up in the atomsphere is less than 32 degrees so that there are ice crystals.

When warm and humid air rises,it expands and cools.Cool air cannot hold as much water vapour as warm air. So,some of the water vapour condenses onto tiny pieces of dust(called condensation nuclei which are usually available in the atmosphere) and forms tiny water droplets.Millions of such droplets form the visible clouds.
In warm clouds, these water droplets become the bigger rain drops by collision and coalescence. When these rain drops become bigger enough so that the cloud can no longer hold them they fall as rain.
In cold clouds, prcipitation forms by the collision of ice and super-cooled water or by the deposition of water vapour on ice.

rain is when the cloud fills up with evapourated water from lakes, ponds, seas etc and the rain then becomes snow when the temperature is cold enough for it to freeze into snow in the air.
