science does not lead humans to anything. It is humans that lead themselves. And no one knows where humans will go.

It would be nice if science could make humans rational so they would stop believing religious myths, but that probably isn't going to happen. Humans seem genetically disposed to believe things for which there is no evidence.

Hmm... Until a computer loses it with a meter maid or kills
it's self because it thinks its too fat, then I will believe in artificial intelligence. (That's from Dead Like Me incase you were wondering).
I don't think science will ever lead to computers taking over the world, we design them, we can control them if not... Pour water over them...
But as for the rest of scientific knowledge, I think it will make us able to slow time down and change the aging process... We've conquered the 2D world & 3D world, now lets conquer the 4D world... Time...

A nuclear fire ball probably. It may take a few years, a few decades, or two or three centuries, but sooner or later some idiot is going to push the infamous button to get a thermo-nuclear war under way.

Science will teach us how to master our own biology, then master the universe. We will become as gods.
