way longer!! My highs make me feel like I can take on any task and I feel great about myself. My lows...Make me feel very deppressed, extremely forgetful, sick to my stomach, shaky, inadiquent, I cant seem to do anything right. I have lost many jobs due to this. I was diagnosed with add 2 yrs ago and dyslexia in 3rd grade. I no longer take meds for add because I felt it gave me phychological issues and it was just a bandaid. I have tried many natural herbs and vitamins. nothing with long time help. Any suggestions? Please serious answers only.

It sounds like you might be suffering from bipolar disorder. It's a psychiatric illness, but that does NOT mean that you're "nuts".
I would recommend that you read the links I've supplied and see if several of the symptoms actually describe how you're feelling, and if so, you must seek help from professionals who are specially trained in mental health.

If there is a mental health clinic in your area, please make an appointment as soon as you can. There are medications and psychological counseling that can help you enormously.

Do not feel embarrassed or sad about the need for medication. You almost certainly have a "real" mental illness, so taking medicine would be as "life saving" for you as it would be for a diabetic who must take insulin every day.

Don't wait another minute! Call your local mental health clinic now so that you can start getting the help you need and deserve.

You need to find a medicine that works AND talk to a therapist or other professional about everything. Your thought about a "bandaid" is perceptive and you are trying to help yourself which is wonderful {{{{Big hug!!!}}}} Far too many people take anti-depressants without talking about their problems too! Feel better!

Try dark chocolate it is almost a wonder drug without the drug. I have meen only taking this stuff for a few weeks and I find mood are better,more energy ,no more back pain and better memory . There are lots of studies to back this up .

It sounds like bipolar disorder. I think it would be worth talking with a therapist.

I don't know what add is, but I think you should see a therapist or somethin if it's stopping you etting on with your life.

i dunno...but that kind of sounds like bipolar...you should ask someone about it...good luck, and hope you feel better!
