you didnt want to tip them at all....

I've left a penny for bad service...that is an insult for a server and lets them know that the service sucks...I'd only do this if the server them self was bad not the cooks...that isn't their fault

Yes. I still tipped them because I felt bad but in situations like that I only leave 10-15% rather than the usual 20%.

If the service was truly horrible, I wouldn't hesitate about not leaving a tip. That's the only feedback they have on how they did.
But I usually tip at least 20%, so leaving nothing is making quite a statement for me.

heck yes!
just this past friday
i didn't give her a dam tip!
she didn't deserve it
i asked for ice cream nd some appetizers
she brought our ice cream out first
so i asked her about our appetizers
she gave me a look and said there coming
she should have brought them out before the ice cream duh!
den she took forever to bring them out
and once she did she just left them there and left
she didn't give us plates or ask if there was anything else she can get us!
i was so mad
so i called another waitress and aked for plates and some condiments
she brought them out
later wen our 1st waitress came i mad an order to go
she cam back with the check and i askd for our other order
and she looked at me with a dirty looked and said their coming!and rolled her eyes
my friend worked then so i told her and she asked her
her excuse was that she was having a bad day!
i can care less if she was having a bad day.
its not our fault
she shouldn't treat her customers like that
and i told her that too!
nexxt time dont go to work!!

I had one like that and I left nothing she didn't deserve it. Most of our food was cold and I found some hairs in my waffles. And it also took her over half an hour to get our order to our table. Also when I pointed out what was wrong with our order she didn't even try to make it right nor did she apologize. Needless to say I never went back to that restaurant again.

No I wouldn't have bothered to leave a tip and if I did I'd leave 10 cents. I'm not paying someone to do a crappy job. If they can't be bothered to do a good job then I can't be bothered to leave them a tip

i have had one of those that completely forgot i was even there and yes i tipped them. i am a waitress and i know how it feels not to get tipped.

Yes, actually I have,
I do leave a tip though, so it encourages them to do better. I think it is rude not to. Even though someone may stink at their job, if I were them I would probabbly know it, and it would be nice to have someone belive in me.

i don't tip if the service is that bad. why should they deserve money if they can't handle a job?
