I just started tracking my temperature for ovulation. My question is, will my temperature still rise and fall without ovulation. I don't remember seeing the stringy egg white constincy mucous and I am a little worried about not ovulating. I have seen the doctor and she said its a possibility. Doing other tests at the moment to check me out.

My temperature has steadily risen over the last five days. So I guess, I have ovulated.

You'll know you ovulated if you have a temperature shift and it *stays* up throughout your luteal phase (ovulation to period). If not, then it's likely you didn't ovulate.

It only rises, and stays risen, if you ovulate, because that makes your progesterone level increase which is what causes your temp to go up. I never saw the EWCM, but I conceived 2x with no problems.

your temp will go up and down. Try to find the highest temp. It takes time to and a lot of tracking to find your perfect temp. Everyone's body temp is different and so is their ovulation cycles.
