O yes, we've been there, 6 times. Don't let ignorant people and their moon hoax theories make you look stupid while insulting the greatest technological feat of all mankind.

Man, my co-worker will kill you if she ever heard you say that. I currently work in a space lab and my co-worker actually work on the Apollo.

As for airport landing, remember the moon has a weaker gravitational pull compared to the earth. The speed of the shuttle landing on the moon has less force - it doesn't need a long strip of land to slow down on.

Why don't you come back when you have a better reason to debunk the mission to moon - because you are just insulting one the greatest accomplishment that humans have ever did.

The lunar module was designed to land on whatever terrain it encountered, in much the way a helicopter can land anywhere.

The lunar module used rocket engines to arrest its downward travel and make a safe, smooth landing. The pilots were highly trained and did a pretty good job.

No "airport" or "launching base" was needed. The vehicles were designed to operate that way.

And you know what? It really doesn't matter what you think. Millions of people are aware of the lunar missions and their history, and only a few foolish, illiterate people who have nothing better to do question whether the history of these things is accurate.

The lunar missions are one of the best documented events in all of human history, and only a foolish jerk would think otherwise.

The Apollo astronauts didn't land on the Moon because there are no *airports* there??? Are you *serious*???

(1) Aircraft on Earth frequently land at non-airports.

(2) The LEM is not an aircraft.
