Well, my fiance and i have been trying for like 2 months now.. i took a test about 2 weeks ago and it was negative. took one this morning, positive. I SWORE I was about to start my period..(boobs sore like always and crampy) and wow, i'm so used to seeing the negative that this seems impossible. I'm probably going through the "disbelief" phase..in fact, I'm at work right now and told my fiance to buy 2 more tests for when i get home. I took aspirin last night, that wouldn't make a difference would it? it says on the box "painkillers, contraceptives and other common medications do not affect test results"...so my question is, how likely is it that the test is wrong? I'm in complete disbelief right now but excited at the same time. The second line on the Pregnancy test was very obvious and it was a cheap $1 test from Dollar General. For those of you wondering, we're getting married within a month or two :) thanks for any help!!! :)

Congrats!! I know, it's kinda hard to believe at first, but you are going to be a mommy within a year. Taking another test or two is a good idea, especially if you're in disbelief. Just don't get carried away and insist on taking one of every brand... it's not going to make a difference! If the box says that painkillers do NOT affect the test, then I'd believe it. Your boobs will probably be sore for the rest of your pregnancy, sorry to say. In a month or two you won't be showing much if at all, so don't worry about your wedding dress. Just make sure you've got mints handy. They help with the nausea ALOT.

Its very rare to get a false positive. You hear about false negatives all the time. Sounds to me that you are pregnant, and congrats. After the whole disbelief phase wears off you will definately be excited. Good Luck with your baby and your wedding!

It's very rare to get a false positive. I used Dollar General tests this time and got 2 positives within a couple of days.
You are pregnant for sure - congratulations!

If the test was positive then i would say your pregnant, Don't take no more aspirin as its not to be taken in pregnancy but it wouldn't affect your test at all, only medication that can affect your test are ones with HCG hormone in them, this is what the test picks up to say if your are or not pregnant,
Congratulations!

It is extremely rare to have a false positive, so congratulations both on your pregnancy and your upcoming wedding.
No, the aspirin won't have made a difference to the test results, but it is something that you should avoid now that you know you are pregnant. (But taking it last night won't have hurt the baby)
Congratulations!

congrats.......ur really pregnant. if still in doubt go ahead n do another test. the cost of the kit wont really make much of a difference...the kit is to chek if a particular hormone is present in ur urine which comes positive only if ur preggo!!! its always advised 2 take the test using the first urine of the morning. hope i was of use n gud luck with u kiddo n ur life! :)

It's positive, believe it. Now you need to make your first prenatal appointment with your OB-GYN.
And don't take any more aspirin or ibuprofen--the only painkiller you can take now is Tylenol/acetominophen.
