I really wanna be an actress.
I already did drama club in my school but now i want to start doing it professional!!
So how do I get started??
I know that I need an agent but how do I get one?
And it would be good to go to an acting school, wouldn´t ?
So how do I find one in Los Angeles or Chicago?

How old are you I would ask? If you really want to be anything, you have to really prepare yourself to succeed. The requirements for actors are a lot more involved than that of say a model. Models = being beautiful, Actors = being talented. School drama club is a good beginning, but not quite scratching the surface. Of course you need to go to acting school or start working with a coach. L.A. and Chicago have soooo many schools it would be impossible not to find one. I am from Chicago, I went to Piven Theater School, and the Chicago Academy of the Performing Arts, both EXCELLENT. Start there first, worry about agents later. If you are a young 'actor' like under say 15, I would recommend also doing voice lessons, and dance lessons, not just acting. For younger talent in order to be competitive you need to be well rounded.

Hello. So do millions of other youngsters just like you, so how many of you are going to become actresses? Doing drama club does not qualify you to be a professional. How you get started.....................ready for this?........................is to convince your parents that you should try to become an actress. You cant do anything professional until you are 18 unless you have your parents' consent. That includes getting an agent (which they have to do for you) and paying for acting school. Once you have their consent, you need a mentor to help you make the right decisions about training, experience and to keep you from getting scammed. If you don't know how to find an acting school in a big city, you must have trouble finding the door to get out of your house.

This is so many peoples dream. And heres some good tips on how to get started, First. THE VERY FIRST THING!!
Is join a playhouse and start doing some plays.
BUT, like me i hate doing plays, they just don't feel real. So what i did was i went to every film festival in my city aha.
I would talk to all the directors and then i finally found one who was looking for some kids, So i did his this and they should it on the screen. And guess who was at the screening, AGENTS!! aha
So you have to build up your resume with plays, camps, etc..
After your resume is built. Search for some agency's and give them a call. Send them a picture of you and your resume.

To avoid picking crummy agents; I'd look up the bios on the successful actors using google and then contact their agents directly and if they don't accept you as a client, they can recommend an agent who will. get a agent or firm. yellow pages helps. internet isn't recommended because theres lots of fakes up there.
they'll audition you and get you set up for some ads or maybe a minor role in some random movie.
perseverance is key.

it's, not how good you are. is hoe you Ly , with get a agent ?,that's a crock thy don't ,Carer about you ,all thy wont is yore body ,or yore $$$ .that,s all !. think ,Wye wade he won't to mack you ,rich and famous.? but you can go to school and do it the rite way, Analise you are rich .it's steal going to be hard .but it can be done.!!! don't ever give up on yore dreams , it can be done. just think and stay a head of the game. good Luck, and God bales !!!.

you need to go to acting classes and as far as an agent look up talent agents in the area you are will be living and talk with them about getting signed, they can give you all their requirements and give you tips.

My mall has this 'Thing' where you can enter your name and audition for stuff like, TV COMMERCIALS, MODELING, etc..
I wonder if your area has anything like this?
Look up an agent online perhaps or on a phonebook?
