I have to wait till Nov. 6th to have my next ultrasound to find out what I'm have, but I had an ultrasound at 16 weeks and they couldn't see a penis but the placenta was squished up to the babies butt so the couldn't get a straight on view looking up in between the legs. So do you think they would have seen something between its legs at 16 weeks if it was a boy? I don't know I just can't wait to find out and I posted a picture of my belly at 18 weeks so tell me what your first gut reaction is.

I appreciate all your comments about me only carrying in my belly but.... None of you have seen my pictures before pregnancy and I am actually carrying EVERYWHERE!!! lol ;)

What an adorable picture!! You look very cute, dear.
Actually it is probably not possible to tell from that.
However, it looks to me like you are carrying the baby kind of low. Whenever I had boys, they were always carried low. And I've heard other people say that, too.
"Do you think they would have seen something between its legs at 16 weeks if it was a boy?" probably... but the experts are the ones to listen to on that. Sonograms are very hard to read by an untrained eye.

Usually they say that its best when you are 20 weeks. Then they can see more and have a better chance of guessing the sex.
Personally, I would say boy because it looks like you are carrying the baby just in your belly. I have 2 boys and 1 girl. I carried my boys in my belly only and gained weight everywhere with my daughter - and I mean EVERYWHERE. LOL.
The important this is that the baby is healthy. Enjoy your pregnancy and your little bundle of joy :)

Belly pictures can't tell anything. That's a myth.
And 16 weeks is pushing it for being able to tell the gender. It's easier at about 18-20 weeks - IF the baby is in a good position to see between the legs.

I'm guessing girl. The women in my family carry our boys low so you look like you are having a girl to me. That could just be my family though!

You should not care if is a boy or a girl. I wish you to have a healthy child.
My personal opinion: boys are much easier to grow.

I'm only guessing that based on what you told me though, it could be a boy...considering you weren't able to see the private area at that time.
Well...boy or a girl, you are gorgeous and I'm sure you'll be a great mom :)

heres a way to tell!! look at your babies dadies family if its more boys int that family good chance its a boy or if you have more sisters and no brothers or the ratio man to wemon men being greater then could chance its a boy,
or ratio wemon to men good chance its a girl.

Sorry hunny but there is absolutely no way of telling and anyone who says there is, listens to too many old wives tales.
looks like you will have to wait another couple of weeks, its not that long really, just enjoy the ride!

It's fun to speculate, but it's all just for fun.
I had a little girl and almost everyone who guessed "based on how I was carrying" guessed boy.
