Republican have been in power for the last years. They have made it ineffective and now they use that for an excuse not to do what needs to be done in the country, FOR the country so we can hold our heads up again.
Can you imagine telling your boss you won't do your job because if you do, he won't do his?
That's what they are telling the country. We can't do health care, make sure there is money for social security, help the elderly because we, the government, is useless.
They say let the free market do it. So far they have, and health care is so expensive that 47 million are now uninsured.
The free market gave us bankers that no longer used good sense and wrote loans they knew weren't good just to make short term money, it gave us Enron, and golden parachutes for poor performing executive that had to be fired.
The free market is giving us oil prices that will freeze us out this winter, while Exxon racks up extraordinary profits. Which you may remember occur AFTER costs of production and refining and shipping are accounted for.
They think business is the best thing in the world in terms of function, to which I have only one word...Airlines.

to keep the democrats out.

It is the dems that are making congress ineffective right now with their partisan BS.

And the country has noticed.

10% approval rating now

Far lower than Busah or any other congress in our history.

The jackass party is doomed.
