I woke up this morning and my spit tasted funny. so i went to the bath room and looked at my toung and it was black can some one help me is this common? the whole thing isn't black its just mostly the back

Well i woke up this morning and my spit tast funny. so I went to the bathroom and noticed that the back of my toung was black. I took pepto bismol, do you think that did anything? help?!

You mean your tongue is black?
Could be something you ate but also could be an infection of some sort. See the doctor.

when did you take the pepto, because pepto does cause black...especially in stools. don't know about tongue tho, but my guess would be it's from the pepto, i'd just call a DR. and ask...
