Hello again, Dr. E. Bunny!

I think that the "correct" answer to this type of question, is usually completely dependent on who is doing the asking.

It is absolutely a fact that some people fare very well without a partner, while others may find it much more difficult.

I must agree with the majority of answers that have already been posted, if only for psychological reasons.

While being in a relationship can serve to improve the "loneliness" factor, I believe that in the long run, bad relationships can be far more damaging than trying to go it alone for a while.

Constant feelings of being unsatisfied or unhappy with a mate can cause all sorts of emotional damage - to both parners. They inevitably end up causing one (or both) to feel under-appreciated or unloved.

Thinking that the "grass is always greener on the other side" often makes us feel like we are selling ourselves short or simply "settling".

However, an important aspect that tends to be overlooked sometimes, is that companionship & even sexual compatibility, don't ALWAYS have to be synonomous with "long-term relationships".

Quite often, the most pleasing & fulfilling partnerships are those where there ISN'T any pressure to be "perfect mates".

I believe this may be one of the reasons why so many men & women who are naturally comfortable with each other in a friendship, become interested in taking the relationship to the next level.

In my life, I have found that we can put so much pressure on ourselves & our partners to live up to some "ideal" of love, that in doing so, we often miss the whole point of being together.

It seems as if we can become so focused on & concerned about the future, that we risk totally missing the enjoyment of spending time together in the present.

Ease up on yourself a little bit, Dr. E & you may find yourself surrounded by pretty girl bunnies that you enjoy spending time with.

Depends on circumstances. I wish life could be black & white...maybe it is for others, but not for me. When children are involved and other issues in a union, it doesn't make this question easy.

In a black & white, perfect world, of course I would answer "Single and okay with it"...however, much living (esp. being on my own at a young age and knowing what finacial struggle is really like) and wisdom...has not made it that easy to answer this question.

I'd rather be single and somewhat happy. What about you?

definitely single and somewhat happy. it's a waste of time to be in a relationship just for the sake of being in one. besides that it adds a bunch of unnecessary drama. i don't need that.

Single. It's really not bad. You can flirt with anyone, do anything, whatever. You don't have to worry about offending anyone. I find it fun (though I'm not single right now)
