hi ppl thnks for visiting my page and thnks for asking!ok here goes my question i m 14 yrs old and my passion n first love is acting n i have the talent to act.I asked a question on this yahoo ansrs b4 if indians cn get into hollywood.And the replies that i got were so nice and encouraging.It made my problem alot easier so here is my last problem.the replies that i got said dat ny1 cn get into hollywood u jus need the talent of acting no matter wht ethincity u r n i ws really happy with this ansr.I plan to become an actress so do u ppl think my career choice is rite?i ws very happy with the ansrs that i got before and thnk u so much for ansring especially the one that says that ny1 cn get into hollywood no matter wht ethincity n all u need is talent to act!thnk u so much!

Heey.
It's great that you aren't going to care about your ethnicity because it DOESN'T MATTER!! 100% doesn't.
Now it's true you do need the talent. But if you think you don't have enough, well take some acting classes of course!
You really can do it if you really want to.
So don't give up.
BUT remember, if it's somthing you really want, make sure you have a backup in life, because acting doesn't always work out for everyone.
They give up their job to do it and it turn out they can't get a single audition so. Thats what i gotta say.

Tings are not always what they seem. Ethnicity does not matter--true. All you need is talent. --not true. You also need the right personality and you also need the right "look." All casting is done first by look and then by ability and then by experience. So you need experience and you need to make sure you have a marketable look. How do you do that? Observe what the actors in the latest films and tv programs look like, do you fit into that general look? The very first thing you are going to have to get in order to be an actor is the support of your parents. If you don' t have that, find something else to do. And a word about having something to fall back on if acting does not work out.---If you have something to fall back on, that is exactly what you will do, fall back on it. You will only succeed when you have to succeed because that is all you can do.

First, you are writing like you were texting us. Please don't. It makes it harder to read and harder to answer you. I'm sure you'd have more responses if ytou had typed, say, "anyone" instead of "ny1" or "answer" rather than "ansr".
That said, yes, you will be typecast. At least at first. Anyone visually ethnic will be. Is it worth it, in order to work in acting? That's for you to decide.
Your appearance comes first. Look like a leading lady. Then comes your talent. Be like what the role demands. Just be the character, all else will fall into place, for good or no.

Yes, if you have a passion i say go for it now matter what it takes, just be careful that you don't lose your friends or yourself along the way.
