Well ive just started secondary.. i'm trying to come out of my shell, you see, im a really shy girl.. how can i make new friends (from my class)

be yourself. i was sort of in your situation about 3 years ago, and it works best to just talk to people. maybe start chatting to the person you sit next to in class, join in class discussions, be nice to everyone - you will make friends, trust me xxx

when i first started secondary skl i was extremely shy but then i started talking to new peole and realised there was no need for me to feel shy. I started talking to a girl and she introduced me to her friends now i have a great set of friends . I understand why you are shy but if you want to meet new friends you realy need to communicate more with people. Trust me if people see that you are a fun and chatty person to be around then you will have loads of great mates in no time xxxxxxx

Kids are all shy to some degree. They are all waiting for someone to approach THEM and say hi. Just start by saying hi and smiling at people who are potential friends. Subconsiously, they will see you as a safe, nice potential friend too.
I would also recommend "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie, which tells you how to do just that without even being fake.

Be yourself. If your too shy sometimes people might not like you. I used to be really, really, really, REALLY shy in my class too, but I showed my real self ( crazy ! ) everyone liked it . If your normally a crazy or fun person, SHOW IT TO THE WORLD =) . If they don't accept you as you are then you shouldn't be the person's friend. Because you shouldn't change. You are who you are ^_^.

It might help to join some group like the school newspaper or a language club or go out for a sport. It helps to smile. It kind of gives you power in a way, it makes you look confident and in control and people respond favorably.

If you are a really shy girl so you would attract attention of others automatically try talking with girls first if you can't talk just sit with them and listen to their conversation and you will be asked a question so answer it.All the best

I went to middle school last year and it was a blast i sat with all the basketball guys ,i got one of the hottest girls in school as my gf and all that my advice is just be yourself have fun!

instead of sticking to those whom u are already comfortable with - try to sit with those whom u dont know- talk to them and within a month guaranteed u'll have friends all over
