I think that there are two factors involved:
1.) The availability of news cameras in the vicinity.
2.) The willingness by local news directors to send those cameras to cover useless non-news items.
Together, these have a direct relationship to the appearance and complexity of crop circles.
Amazingly enough, when the cameras go away, the circles stop happening.

Crop circles are made by humans. The more elaborate ones are made by math majors in college who have studied fractal geometry. It is rather naive to believe that a civilization advanced enough for interstellar travel who not contact the scientists and leaders of the world but would engage in interstellar tagging.

I think life outside earth exists... but don't really care about crop circles. I just think that there's other life is logical, and to hold the opinion there isn't and be an atheist is a contradiction.

They are not man made.
Of this, I am certain!
They appear over night, no one has ever caught anyone in the making of one, and they are PERFECT. There is not one straw or stem out of place! Aside from the artistic beauty, they are perfectly symmetrical!
It is my belief that they are alien inspired somehow.

hard to know cause:
-the majority of them are made close to military bases
-1 person or a group of persons can't easily go close to a military base.
-the person (s) that made that have to know about architecture, binary codes, high artistic skills, spy skills, astronomy, astrology, and super speed to done that in a few hours during night without light.
So those who say "are human made" are a bunch of ignorants, not necessarily have to be a alien...

sometimes it is a hoax, people out trying to generate alien talk...sometimes though it is caused by forces unseen and/or not understood by us earthlings.
