Mind that I'm only thirteen and have a very low income(allowence lol) and that I'd have to ask my parents for some of the stuff;candles, yarn, leaves, etc.
So can anyone help me wtih this?
I would like a site, or book, that has amature spells and potions, and a shop or area people think I could get some of the things nessesary.
THANKS!

I take it you are referring to Witchcraft rather than Wicca, which is a religion?

Witchcraft is potentially dangerous, so you really do need to get a good grounding in the subject before you start thinking of casting spells. Also, most potential teachers will be wary of your age ~ if you are under 18, you will need parental permission for a lot of things.

Avoid Silver RavenWolf's books ~ she has some issues with 'ethics', and a lot of Witches disagree completely with the sort of things she tries to teach people.

Are you in the UK or the US? I would recommend you read Pagan Dawn, the magazine of the Pagan Federation :

Wichcraft is not a game, it is not something you can just pick up and do. It is a life-style and something you seriously commit to,

First I have a couple of questions for you to really ponder.
1. Why do you think you might want to practice witchcraft?
2. What lead you to this path?
3. What do you expect to gain from it?

If your answer to ANY of these questions is "power", forget it.

READ!!! Find out which denomination you would prefer. You may find your answer in, Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft.

I would not bother with any type of initiation or gathering of ritual tools until you find which path you are going to follow. Most tools are not necessary in all denominations. I have much more than most, but then, I have been practicing for a very long time. My particular path essentially needs only a Staff, Dirk (athame) and a Keek-Stane (or crystal ball). Other tools can be acquired as needed.

I am Pecti-Witan (aka Hedge Witch, not Wiccan) a "solitary" practitioner of "the Old Religion", and have been for many, many years. Being a "Witch" is nothing like what is portrayed in movies or on Television. There is nothing flashy about it. we are fairly simple people with "abilities" that everyone has, ours are just honed and utilized. Lots of research and practice. There is a lot to learn when you are dealing with herbal, mineral and candle magick.
I read tarot cards, rune stones and utilize a number of other tools for divination but would NEVER charge anyone for anything I do! Besides, I do not do "readings" or "cast spells" for others on demand. That sounds more like a con game to me! Though I am often asked.
Now as for what I did to start, well, it seemed to come naturally to me, (my mother was a witch and my great grandmother was the daughter of a Comanche medicine man) and I believe this is not my first life (nor the last) as a witch. I have always had a deep respect for nature and have an innate ability to communicate with animals. When I was very young my parents encouraged me to learn about all religions, so I did. And I encourage you to do the same to find your true path. Books are an excellent source, providing you get the right ones, there are some I would avoid (Ravenwolf). I prefer Scott Cunningham. If you can connect with other practitioners that would also be a good way to learn. One question you must ask yourself is are you looking for the structured system of a Coven (you will have to wait until you are 18, unless your paretts are part of an established coven) or would you prefer the life as a "Solitary"? Buckland has some very good books outlining both. But my favorite book is still "Wicca, a Guide for the Solitary Practitoner". It is a good place to start (or affirm).
As you have probably noticed, you also have to have a thick skin, because even in this "advanced" civilization there are still those who believe we worship the devil (LMAO), and would rather turn a blind eye to the world around them. Some will even admit that they think we should be burned at the stake! Ignorance knows no bounds.
Since you are very young, expect ridicule and really stupid requests to do "Magic" like they do on TV or in movies. It is not going to make you cool. Expect people to tell you that you are going to Hell. You will probably lose friends. Just being honest with you.
I hope you find the answers you were looking for.

As you are only thirteen, I personally would suggest the study of herbs and rune symbols to start you off. The mind is the most influencial instrument in witchcraft. The spells only work if the mind is pure and has the belief. If you need spells then you are obviously wanting either revenge or love and you must remember in revenge it comes back ten fold. It is called a craft for a reason. You must learn as if in school before you practice. You can not pick up an instrument and play as Mozart study must come first. So there is no site that makes you an immediate witch with spells to make you satisfied ,and your life go as you hope using magic. A gift is that a gift. Do not play with anything you do n ot understand, study first and learn then maybe the gift will come. Just be careful Darkness comes a lot quicker than light.

In all honesty, I believe the best way to get started on any path for witch craft is to develope your own abilities.
Start with something simple, like learning to protect yourself from psychic or spiritual attacks. This is also a really good way to learn to control your energies. Simply find a quiet spot that you feel safe/relaxed/comfortable in, and image yourself covered head to toe in a white protective and cleansing light. See it pulsing over you, and see it removing any negative thoughts or energies you may have. Keep practising this maybe once a day, and you'll find it gets easier to do. This will also come in handy if you're sick ^^ You can use it to help clear out infected areas! And when you get a better hang of it, you'll also be able to use it as a type of shield when you're feeling vunerable (whether it's spiritually or not.. it's a nice comfort blanket).

As you learn to develope your own powers, you'll also find that some things will just speak to you.. you'll be able to write your own spells perhaps, or you'll find you'll have a talent for divination. You may be able to see or interact with the spirit realm better, or you may even have empathic capabilities.

Now, while I know that getting some Wiccan tools can be expensive (trust me, I haven't even gotten an athame yet), there is also a fact of timing. You may want an athame for spells, or a love potion, but listen to your intuiton, and you'll know if it's the right time. If you're meant to hae something, quite often it will find it's way to you.

Most of all, be careful! While not a dangerous religion any more than the others of the world, the Wiccan way mean that you do things not out of spite, or greed or any of those nasty negative emotions. That means no love spells on a guy you like just cause you want to date him.. things have a tendency to turn out bad. It takes away his free will, and thats bad. Always consider what the consequences are before trying something.

All in all though, I believe you are about to embark on a beautiful, life-changing and wonderful experience. I hope that your everyday is a constant learning experience that just makes you more wise and open-hearted.

P.s. Candles, tarot cards.. a lot of items you may need can also be made. And having personally made things in any ritual or spell will certainly enhance it! Good luck hun!

Magic of any kind is a 2-Eged sword
Don't throw caution to the wind

Study and understanding come before the actual practice of the craft.

Several books are necessary - find them used from $1.20 to $4.00 at Amazon

An advanced book is Modern Magic - Donald Michael Kraig

Don't just cast spells without researching first. Read read and read again. We have laws and ethics that are important to us.

Avoid Silver Ravenwolf like the plague.

Read Marie Bruce and Scott Cunninghams books.

I will never forget the time I found my daughter with the book, "Witchcraft for Teens" by Silver Ravenwolf. I was very skeptical about it, so I read it, and discovered it was in fact everything Ive ever believed in myself. I started buying her books and really enjoyed them. I don't get into all of the spells and rituals and things, but her beliefs are the same as what my Mom and I always believed in, like taking herbs instead of the harmful medications that are out there on the shelves, and what goes around comes around, and I do believe in reincarnation, and my Mom and I always had a 6th sense of things especially in our family of things that were going to happen, or might happen. You must be tuned into the universe, and trust your own feelings and senses. I think you could also find the website of Silver Ravenwolf, and there are others out there too that are good and informative about witchcraft. Its not bad and not what many people think it is. Hope you enjoy what you read!

Yeah, some things get very expensive. So think about what you buy before you buy it too. (You may not need some things after all) I don't know about websites, but you can look up Pyramid Collection Magazines on google. I get them monthly, and they have a wide variety of awesome stuff. ;)

please don't do anything unless you know exactly what you are doing! keep in mind that if you join the group, you will need to get your parents okay. the moderator is very strict on this. parents permission for underage is very important!
