I would buy some land on a secluded mountain and build a small cabin. The air is clean, the animals are wonderful. I would find a young man that was smart and savvy and needed a place to live so I would have someone to help me shovel snow and carry water and chop wood. Of course he would also have to know how to play poker and Risk and chess. He would like to read and not be bored without a phone or tv and radio maybe. I would also buy a good 4x4 to get in and out with. I would also pay off my daughters debts to make her life a bit easier. Set up a college fund for my little grandson. Help out a wonderful old friend or two. Then sit back and just enjoy!! ;0)

If I can't find the house of my dreams, I'd buy a large plot of land and have a home built to my requirements, ie large kitchen.
Might consider a property abroad as well, that the family could also use.
My children and grandchildren would be taken care of.
Then set up a charitable fund for donations to my favourite charities and a few worthy causes.
I've got it all worked out - shame my wish list isn't read!

Ya' know I have this dream often! Would so love to see the surprise and glee on the faces of my loved ones to be able to ease their burdens!
I'd share with my children/grands/mom to ensure their financial futures were eased.
I'd purchase a debt free home for myself with room for a 'caretaker' [should I need one in the future] and invest the rest to provide for my medical etc. care into real aged living.
I'd share with a couple of very close friends who are around my age to make life easier for each of them.
I'd donate to the charities of my choice: persons with disabilities; children in need, especially abused children....and medical research.
I'd travel more, yet probably continue to work because I like being out and productive in the real world.

I would have enough, that I would not have to sell my house,
but could continue to live here. I would pay off my sons house, and give him some money. I would also give my other son some money. I would travel. And I would feel more secure in aging years. I could afford to have medical insurance. so I would not have to worry about getting sick. And my spluge item would be a big screem HDTV. and a newer computer.

Build a nice but reasonable home. Give a good bit to our kids and take care of my parents. Some to family and some to friends who are as good as family. I would like to help some local people who are deserving and need it. I would like to help some struggling college students because my sons have had to struggle financially to get through college.

If I suddenly got the windfall of a lifetime in one day? Is that
what you are asking? Not that I had been rich as Midas?
Going with that first premise, then the first thing is to quickly
take care of my living needs, as I don't know how much time
I have to live on this earth with my current heart issues.
So I would buy a house where I could ride an electric scooter around and not have to walk much, due to pain.
I would have a full time cook and housekeeper or maybe
two housekeepers, depending on the size of the house.
I would enroll our grandson in a special school that
deals with children with ADHD and Autism and Ausbergers.
I would put aside a fund for him to live on for his lifetime.
I would treat him to a few things he would want, that I haven't
been able to give him in years past. I would enroll him in
special education camps for him to socialize with others
like himself who are unable to socialize on their own normally.
I would take a vacation to try to see our other child and his family. And I'd hire a detective to find our missing grandson, now shunned by his father, (after he wouldn't abide by the rules of the JW.) and tossed out to live like a beggar on the streets. And I'd fly him to where we'd be living and let him get to know the grandparents, he's never known.
I'd help my children financialy and help them live better with
new houses furnished. And after that and trips to see some
places I've wanted to see in my lifetime, I'd have more shelters built for women who needed help with leaving husbands or boyfriends who've abused them. And I'd have
built some homes for children to be well cared for while they
are separated from their families due to problems with the
law or drugs or simply neglect. I would like to help children who come from poor family situations in general.
I would put half of the money in a bank to save for needing
it later to either help others or myself. And I'd set up a funeral
that would be a fun party to be enjoyed after my demise.
And if there wasn't such a company to do the planning for
something like that, I'd start one. There should be an alternate option for how we observe a persons' passing. Like some sort of party planning option, like a wake.
Oh, and if I could find the land, I'd have a couple of animal
shelters built with the comforts of the animals in mind. And
they could live in harmony without facing anniliation as most
do when their time is up. There are so many many outlets for
spending money and helping others. It wouldn't be hard to
keep spending as long as one had it. But this is all I can think
of for the moment. And hopefully it will do.

I would give money to my church and to charities and try to make jobs for others. I'd take care of my family and friends and buy a nice little farm or ranch for my husband, critters and I.
