There have been cases in the past about wrongfully convicted people turning out to be innocent. Nothing can ultimately be done to make up for the time they served, so they are usually awarded a huge cash settlement. There was a case of this one guy who was originally sentenced to death, appealed the case and got re-trialed but this time sentenced to life, and years later was found to be innocent the whole time. Lots of injustice in this world.

So my question is:

Would you be willing to do 10 years in prison for $10,000,000? What would be your biggest fear in there? Under what supposed crime would you want to be convicted? I hear pedofiles and ex-police officers have it the worst in there, so would you still do it if you had to go in and be marked as one of them?

I am curious your point of view on this.

Nope...10 years of my life for money?...Since none of us know our days who would take the chance?...I could die tomorrow or 9 years and 364 days after I went in...What benefit would that money have made?...I would rather be poor and free, which by the way is pretty much where I am today, than be very wealthy and caged up like an animal with the title of child-molester, murderer or something like that on my head...

Even though we say it's a lot of money it wouldn't be worth it. These people didn't choose to do this. They were basically kidnapped and for whatever the reason convicted and placed in a prison which is a bogus idea of reform to start with. It's like putting a mouse in a cage with snakes. What does the mouse learn? The people who put him there should be forced to do the same amount of time that they put this man in for. And that's on top of the money. Our justice system is in serious need of remodeling. They don't really worry about guilt or innocence it's more about conviction rates and election votes. They are using the rest of society to further their careers. Justice is said to be blind but I've come to see that it's ignorant because they know a lot of times that they are not putting a guilty person in prison. They prosecute them so that they don't have to show the rest of us how many mistakes they really make.

it would rely on the homestead, yet all i'm able to think of of is The Shining. So i'll could desire to assert no to that, considering the fact which you're saying "your" homestead. My homestead isn't something grand and that i does not make it ten years there. If it became right into a mansion with most of the outdoors life there like a well being center, indoor pool, make diverse bedrooms for a transformation of scenary, and perchance the terrific open kitchen ever possibly i might think of roughly it. Do you get the money when you complete 10 years? or could desire to there be a deal for 2 years to get 2 billion with the circumstances in case you go away the homestead you may desire to pay it back? a minimum of this way i would be slightly happier understanding the money is in a back account.

NO WAYS!!!! i would not want to go to jail for all the money in the world..if you really want such a big amount of money, why not use the time you would have sentenced to become fames and achieve your goal in a positive way? what happens if you get killed in there? would it still have been worth it?? would your soul ever go to rest?

i don't think so! you never know when your time will be up..and when it would be time for you to go, so why plan 10years of your time into the future? spending it in the most awful place?rather enjoy each and every day on earth that you have left..out of prison- where you can actually live a life..laugh..joke..love..stay healthy..and live without the fear of going to sleep or getting killed by one of those criminals.

while you spend your time in prison, time goes by...(time that nothing would ever be able to bring back or equal)..and when you get out of there..-not only would you look terrible..but you will always have a criminal record- something not even all that money can change.so why ruin your life for money? it's only papers...means nothing! just 'cause you have the money..- doesn't mean you have a life!

I would never give up 10 years of my life for any amount of money. A falsely accused person should be held above the law in the jurisdiction where he was convicted until a reasonable money settlement is offered. That should be closer to $1MM for every minute spent in prison, rather than $1MM a year.

No I wouldn't do 10 years in prison for $10,000,000. It's simply not worth it. Someone could easily get killed in prison if they look at someone the wrong way or say the wrong thing. No amount of money is worth your life.

Prison is a place that you should stay out of. Alot of people go back because their so used to the prison life-style, and don't know how to start their life.

$10,000,000 SEEMs like a lot of money. especially when you don't have it. but, so does, $1,000 or $100 or even $10... when you don't have it.
it would be worth years of my life. no.
how can i be compensated for NOT being at the bedside of a dying loved one. or missing 10 yrs of watching children grow up.
for ME the question becomes HOW much would be enough.
because TRUTHFULLY I can be purchased 'if' the price is right.
AND the price is NOT always monetary.
would i do 10 yrs to SAVE my niece's life? in a heartbeat.
would i do 10 yrs to ENSURE there would be no more war? damned skippy.
would i do 10 years IN jail to wipe out PREJUDICE? absolutely.
to get rid of EVIL in the world (with a guarantee EVIL would NEVER return)
i would GIVE MY LIFE!!!

what good is the money... if u are not around to spend it. death would be the biggest fear.. followed by some sexual disease...with no cure in sight. i would not even say the word pedophile in there. most cops..are not put in the same prison area. some do.. but not many

No way would i choose that no one would but big money is the least we can do if turns out someone has been wrongfully imprisoned. This is why despite my anger at murderers/rapists i oppose death penalty
