Have you ever seen a REAL ghost?

Question

I don't meen one on TV. I mean one that YOU saw. Tell me a story about it......I'd like to know. Also, was it someone you knew and had died?

Please answer only if you HAVE seen one.

I have. Strap in, this might be lengthy.

My husband and I used to live out in the country. Nothing unusual was happening, just a quiet house in the middle of nowhere. We started doing some renovations and things started to happen. I worked days and my hubby worked nights. I would be home and I would feel like someone was there with me. I would hear bangs and noises (I chalked it up to an old house and never thought much about it). Then weird stuff started happening. One night I came home from work and started some laundry, I got up to go in the kitchen and I looked in the laundry room and it was like someone walked by the door. The light was blocked and everything. Then one night I was watching TV and the volume on the TV started going up really loud. I couldn't find the remote to turn it down(I thought I was sitting on it). The remote was on the side table next to the couch....sitting on it. So i grabbed it and turned it down, and it started going up again. I was freaking out! I asked my husband if he experienced anything and he said no. I heard someone coughing one day when I was in the shower and no one was there but me. Anyways, that's just some back info. One night I was lying in bed with my husband and he had already fell alseep. I kept hearing something so I opened my eyes and looked up and there it was. This misty figure of a young women. She wasn't scary, as much as she just took me by surprise. I told her to go away, I didn't like her scaring me. After that not much really happened in the house. I never did research to see if I could figure out what happened there. I never felt threatened as I just felt like she kind of enjoyed messing with me. We have moved into town since then(not because of that). And everything seems fine.

I have always believed in spirits and paranormal.

no, my mom has.
I did have something come up real funny in a picture once that I took. I was there, took the picture and has this strange thing in it. I don't know what to call it, I believe in ghosts, but I've never seen one with my own eyes.

My husband says that when sit around and something catches your glance from your peripheral vision and you look an nothing is there, it was a ghost.. but for the sake of my sanity I choose not to think about that.

Yes I have. When I was 12 I had gone to stay with my bestfriend and her family.. We were upstairs sleeping when we heard a russel in the room.. we looked up to see a lady figure come across the room, get a drink of water off the bedstand, stand in the hallway, wave to us then go down the stairs........... we started screaming so loud, her mother and grandparents came rushing to us........ they had to pry us out of the closet where we had hidden....... they all laughed, then her grandmother told us that this lady had appeared before, but it had been over 100 years since anyone had ever seen her........ They all thought it was just an old wives tale, until we told them exactly what we saw, and this was exactly they way the grandmother's mother had seen when she was a girl........ I guess every 100 years this lady needed a drink..........LOL

Yeah, one time me and my family were driving home when we just moved into the neighborhood. We were driving past this plaza and there is a house with a barn in the back. I looked up because I thought the barn was abandoned, but there was a light on in the top...and there...right in front of my eyes...was a black outline of a witch/ghost....

It was so creepy I get scared every time I go past that house near Halloween~ ♥

yes i was young about 17 at the time and lived in the basement of my parents home not a creepy one it was nice finised with a fireplace anyway .....one night i walked down and the light would not go on so i didnt think anything of it and just started to walk in the dark well then i look twards the other end of the basement and see a figure of a man simply walk from one side of the house to the other through both wall he dint llok at me didnt frighten me just passed bythen the light came on and that did frighten me but long story short this was all in about 15 sec and it was done and yes i do belive that ghost is at my parents hes not scary just watches over you i have come to call him george

Yes....we had one but it's been gone for a while now (few months). I used to see this like white smokey figure (no, have no clue who it was).....of course you always HOPE it's a family member you've lost. I'm not in an old home or anything like that either. It was kind of funny....it would turn toys on and it's knocked things off counters, etc. just like "hello, I'm here!!" I have 2 grandchldren who saw it to (both under 2 -- we KNOW they saw it........you just know). I wish it would come back again :)

I haven't seen one, but I've heard one. My friends and I went ghost hunting this past summer, and when we went to the one house, my friend asked if there were any spirits who wanted to make themselves know, and then like 2 seconds later we hear this noise that kinda sounded like "arrrgha" of course, we didn't expect anything so we screamed and ran away like scaredy cats

I love questions like yours! And yup i have seen, heard and felt REAL ghosts! My family also.

Many times, while talking with my sister in her bedroom, we saw a little girl, watching us. She had black hair and a red dress. I mean i saw the girl from the corner of my eye. And every time we tried to look at her she disapeared!
Also one time i saw an orb flying from my parents bedroom to my sisters bedroom! I was watching T.V. late at night in the kitchen, when suddently something small and bright like a fluffy "ball" flew in front of my eyes! I was not scared, but surprised!
My father told me that a tall naked man sat next to him when he was watching T.V. late at night! The tall naked was staring at my father for about a half minute, and he stood up and went trough the wall and disappeared! It was taller than the door!

yes i think when i was over my friends house : it was really late and we went downstairs to get drinks and all of a sudden we look in the living room and the tv turns on and the rocking chair starts rocking . everyone was asleep and no one was up so we stood there and then we ran and told her mom. we looked up their houses history (YES they have a website to do so) and we found out that a elderly couple was murdered in the house late and night while they were watching tv!!!!!!!! scary rite??? lol

I believe so yes. My exes brothers ghost. He was leaning against a wall with his arms crossed just staring at me while I was sleeping. I woke up and there he was just looking at me. I closed my eyes again and when I opened them he was gone. Freaked me out.
