Relax Bryce. I'm not homophobic :)

Add: Thanks for all the answers. I'm a very strong advocate for "equal rights" for all people and I'm sorry the Q seemed daft or insulting to some of you. That was not my intent.

A few days ago a user asked "are you straight, gay or bi"? Nearly 50 replies and the one dude who replied gay was the only one "targeted". The LGBT Cat. here at Y/A is infamous for gay bashing as well. I was simply curious to see your reactions to this type of question.

What a homophobic question! You should be reported, but what the hell:

Gay friend, duh! Who needs enemies? And who cares about their orientation?

A gay friend would be better.

Personally, straight enemies would go right ahead and kick your ***. Maybe even call for a frat fight.
But, in all reality, a gay friend could do less, or maybe even no harm, to you. There would prolly be something going around in the grapevine that could tarnish your reputation, but what the heck. It's going to be better than being stuck in the hospital for 7 months.
And since you posted a poll about gay friends -OR- straight enemies, since I chose "gay friend", this would infer that I do not like having "straight enemies" and would thus prefer, "straight friends". xD So there!

A gay friend, cause they know how some people feel about gays, but the only time a gay friend will make a hit on you is if you are what they are looking for in a relationship, same is true for the opposite sex, if they feel you are the one they will start flirting. And If I find myself alone and need to go out with a guy, I will go out with a gay guy, cause I KNOW THEY WON'T HIT ON ME.

That seems a pretty daft question: surely ANYONE would prefer a friend to an enemy no matter what their sexual orientation was. Also, a friend is a friend, it doesn't matter whether they're gay, straight or bi. Someones sexuality should be irrelevant as to whether you like them or not.

This is not a good question to make people to think on such an issue. I am straight and married, but I have lived by a couple of gay people twice and found that in both cases they were the most helpful friendly people I know and very funny. I might not agree what they are doing, but God is to judge us all, not me. So I will be friend anyone. God knows I have had my share of problems in my life and hopes of forgiveness, but to your answer a gay friend is my vote.

Gay friend of course! A friend is always better than an enemy, no matter what the sexual orientation is. I have two very good gay friends.
