I had super-nurturing teachers on some occasions, and then I had grizzly bears that you never could please on other occasions....and of course, like most folks, I resented the grizzly bears. But my mother (also a teacher herself) stressed the importance of my learning to deal with both kinds of people, and learning to "learn" from them no matter what their personality types. This is a really good life lesson because the world doesn't really care about your emotional stability most times, just your productivity. So, if you're only able to perform adequately for someone who coddles you, you'll be emotionally crippled in situations where you don't have that kind of support. So, in some ways, she's doing you a favor by preparing you for the rigors you'll encounter sometimes in the real world. (You'll never LIKE it, but it won't destabilize you...) Here's what's funny: When I think back on grumpy old Mrs. Whitney now, I have the fondest memories of her. I learned far more than I was ever aware of having done. Good luck to you.

First of all, that is very disrespectful. You would never get away with wiggling and spinning in the professional world and your teachers are trying to prepare you for life beyond school. As far as her negativity, your question really didn't ask anything about her being negative. You gave a statement (in a run-on sentence) and that was all. Try taking more interest in school and in your work and you will notice that the teachers won't be as negative.
