do you read Diana Gabaldon? My friend said, "I dont like this kind of book, nothing ever happens". hahhaha.. i've read all of her books. i dont like the fiery cross though. its kinda dragging. i learn many new things / mostly about history from her book..

guess it's all in your definition of things happening...if you want big splashy events, like shoot-em-ups, etc, then maybe these aren't for you.

But I read these, though like Wendy, I don't care as much for the Lord John books. As much as I love Jamie & Claire, I almost wish the series was finished, because then we could read about Brian & Ellen, or Master Raymond (now that's a character I want more backstory on!).
They're well-researched, & mostly accurate in terms of the history. Great characters!

I love the Outlander series, but not the Lord John series.
