I'm suppose to write an essay about the impact another person can have on your life. But I don't know how to approach it. I need a thesis?!?! Please help.

I'm only 15, so I haven't exactly had someone impact my life, so I don't really know the impact another person can have on my life.

Please any opinions?

If you feel nobody made an impact on you all these 15 looong years, I don't think whatever we say here is going to have any effect. I think you are a silly teenager (sorry for my presumption, but) who is thinking only in romantic terms.

Just relive your life in your mind and think deeply who all influenced your thinking, your outlook on life, helped you grow, even groomed you. Therein lies the material for your thesis. And, please don't ask for ready-made answers. Do your digging yourself...you will feel satisfied.

How about approaching it this way? Do you use the computer alot? Play Nintendo? Appreciate Electricity? How about writing about an inventer of whatever it is that you use in your every day life?
Or a stranger on the street that did a small unasked for kindness? Someone has impacted your life every day.
Think! You have the internet available, start using your search engine.

They will have exactly the impact that you allow. People with the best or worst intentions can be ignored, or taken far to seriously.

Its up to you.

As for your thesis, I would pick someone that you respect and expound on the reasons that you respect them. Talk about how there attributes or there lack of positive attributes has helped to make you understand.

Example my dad left when I was seven. His actions helped to make me a good father who alwasy put my childrens interest first.

Each time I felt a negative consequence because I had no father present I told myself I will be very careful not to ever let my kids feel this way.

You can do this, just have faith in your ability.

Love and blessings Don

We all have an impact on each other, in one way or another. It's mostly in ways we might not always see in front of us, though.

I've never been rich, and I like spending time with the homeless people crowding Cleveland's(Ohio) city streets. I think they impact me, as much as I impact them, if not more. I have met Vietnam veterans on the streets, and they can give you a hell (literally) of a perspective on war. I share food, when I can, and it impacts me too see how happy someone can be to see someone cares about them, and took the time to ask about how they got where they are.

EDIT: Here's an example, I think I helped someone, which makes me happy...

..and, after all, there would be need for us to know how to communicate, if talking couldn't make an impact

Did you grow up in a vacuum? Of course people have impacted your life! What about your parents, your friends, your teachers? Just think about the things you know, can do, care about, or are interested in. Choose one that reminds you of a person you know. Why does it remind you of them? Did they teach you about it? Do you do it because they want you to, or maybe because they don't? Every person you know impacts your life in some way, just figure out which one gives you the most material to write about.

The fact of the matter is that your parents and your teachers have had (and, at your age, continue to have) a -huge- impact in your life. In fact, it would be fair to say that they have pretty much completely shaped you into what you are today. There have, to be sure, been inputs from your friends and others (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.), but your parents and teachers easily have had the largest influence on you.

Nobody has had an impact? No friends, family member or teacher has made you think about your existence on earth? Nobody has ever made you feel glad you are who you are? Bull! Think real hard and you'll discover that's not true. You may even have to decide who you will be writing about since there will be so many instances.

firstly people in ur surrounding do hv an impact on u , depend on wat kind of role d prsn plays in ur life.
the prsn cn either b present in ur life actually or even a celebrity or d prsn u admire....................
4 instance jus like as magnet attracts different types of metals with different velocities and also according tom d distance between them n d power of magnet same is with every person
it depends how much impact others hv on u dependin on sesitivity of ur mind and also the age of the person.
the ratio of oter persns impact on ur mind is inversely variable wid ur age...............as ur age increases u start buildin ur own principles of life n ur life plan thus reducin oter persons impact on ur self rater u won't like hvin otherprsns ipact on ur life after a certain age.
it is generally d teenagers who hv more impact of others.............bt incase if oter prsn infuencin ur life is in close relation wid u then it wld be a case of tryin to step into that prsns shoes ..................... n this case atn times leads 2 immitation n gradually a competition.
