Are there any decent Pirate films out there?

A pirate's life was glamorized out of hollywood, but then the great actors, including the women, were entertaining. When you paid attention to history in school, you had a good handle on why and where there were pirates. Some of the government and shipping firms, sent forth men and ship to catch them and stop the pirates, but then became pirates themselves. I imagine a lot of rape went on to male, female, and beast alike, but back in the old movies we did not have to witness it.

Well, i kind of find it offensive you assume that all of those Pirate movies are cheesy.
They're funny, adventurous, and has a great plot to every movie.
Now, you must be sick if you actually want to watch Alcholic murderers rape females, or what ever your interested to be the rapee.
If you'd seriously call those movies DECENT, then your sick-minded.
These movies are made for people ALL ages. So yeah, little children are part of the audience.

Ultimate cheesy Pirate movie is..... the Pirate movie.
Christopher Atkins, Kirsty McNicholl, Australian I think, a musical, lots of Gilbert and Sullivan parodies and pastiches.
