Yeah. Best burgers in town, down by the river. Another great memory.

OMG! I loved those drive in's! They were still here in the DC area into the very early 60's then disappeared with the onslaught of McD's.
Great date venue! We'd order Big Boy Hamburgers and Frozen Orange drinks or Milk Shakes and sit in the car fogging up the windows! The waitresses were usually dressed in something cute and even at the drive-in movies we'd have the trays attached to the car along side the heaters/speakers....
Even when my kids were small in the 60's early 70's we would put a mattress in the back of our station wagon and go to the drive in.
Last time I remember we went to see a triple feature: The Collector; Night of the Living Dead and Marnie! Great times! This time the kids went to sleep and we thought all were still asleep since the movies were not the type they'd really enjoy or understand...but during Night of the Living Dead, my youngest, my son woke up during the scene where the ghouls were eating a charred body and said 'Mommy! Are they eating BBQ'd people?' [and No, he didn't grow up warped! lol]

OH YES! That was a great time in life. I was too young for the girls on skates but I remember my brother (12 yrs older) taking me to get malted shake in his car. We had an A&W in our town, (now called a city), and a place called THE SPOT. The Spot is STILL here just like it was when I was a kid and the girls still bring food to your car on a tray, they still serve frosted Glass mugs of Root Beer and the guys are still in the back flipping burgers. It is open till 3AM so they do get a lot of college kids after bar time. They have always put a giant Christmas tree all lighted on top of the place up until last year. The place is famous in these parts. We also still have a Drive-in Theater called the DUNES, and it isn't as nice as when I was a kid(with a train and swings to play and ride on) but still real cheap and good movies! Still a place for a date ight! This city is now a 100,000+ people. I don't like it as much as I did when I was a kid - to big now. However I do feel lucky to have a town with a drive-in and Drive-in Thearter!

I remember it was high school girls that took your order and brought your tray out. This was the dream job for the summer and it was a lot of hard work. They really earned their tips. The trays never were level and the drinks always spilled a little (but we didn't care). The food was the best (probably because it had ALL the fat and ALL the calories). It was a place for everybody to meet and the kids stood around in groups, leaning agains their cars, laughing and joking. (That was before the kids just "hung out".) The service was wonderful, the food great and we didn't have to worry about our waistlines! (And nobody worried about what was "HOT" and what wasn't. I don't think we were even "COOL" back then).

In the town where I grew up, there were 3 drive-ins; one on each end of town and a small one right in the middle. That was our entertainment....cruising in hopped-up cars from drive-in to drive-in, hanging out, drinking cokes, yakking with our friends. Deals were made, car races planned, rivalries thrived, loves were won and lost.
We also had a drive-in theater, affectionately known as the "passion-pit"....HA!!
Where I currently live, there are 2 of the old timers still in operation; a Stewart's Root Beer stand and a Weber's. Stewarts still makes the best hamburgers around - anywhere and the best root beer.
I hate "fast-food" and never go to McD's, Burger King, KFC, etc. It is such garbage....mystery meat. Plus, I don't eat where disfunctional teenagers run the place and all hate their jobs. Food service and sanitation is clearly not a priority.
I stopped eating at those places when my kids were teeners in the 70's. They had friends who worked at these places and they would sit around and talk about what they did to the food....... YUK!!!
I'm sure teeners today are the same.....so, I avoid them at all costs....

Measuring the penis when it isn't erect is pointless, since the length and bulk are affected by various temporary factors, such as the ambient temperature. Even the largest male organ can shrink to virtually nothing if the man goes for a swim in cold water. However, at normal temperatures a non-erect p enis usually measures between 8.5 cm and 10.5 cm (3-4 inches) from tip to base.

The average figure is about 9.5 cm (3.75 inches). Of course, it's true that some men have big penises and some have smaller ones, just as some men have small feet and some have big feet, but the measurement is not – repeat not – an index of virility.

Yes, growing up my family would go to the local Dairy Bar and they'd bring our order out and clip it to the car. The girls there didn't wear roller skates, but we also have a Sonic where I live now and they do. I love the oldies they play on the loud speakers. We also have What-a-Burger here and they still bring the food to your car if you want or you can go inside and eat or eat on a little patio outside. They have those yummy fat crinkled FF I love so much too.

I am not a senior yet only 55, but yeah I remember them in fact the Sonics are still around they just have caught up with the times. They don't skate anymore.
The old drive in's had a small booth that the car hop stayed in waiting for cars and you either honked or flashed your lights to tell her you are ready to go.
WR
Edit:
How about the old Root Beer Stands. yeah you could get a hamburger, but the real reason to go to one was the ice cold root beer served in frosted mugs.
Also in the wet areas was the Drive In that served Beer like that and the car hops would wear short shorts and a short sleeve blouse tied instead of buttonned, that was before the modern halter.
There are still one or two left in Dallas http://www.chowhound.com/topics/403701

Other than SONIC, there's a place in Norfolk, Virginia...DUMARS. Some of the original gals still work there. They still come to the car, take your order and put it on a tray to attach to the side of your car. They have the BEST milkshakes made out of ICE CREAM..not that runny crap that looks like a case of the runs when it comes out of the machine from the fast food places.

Yes, a teen hangout. The servers didn't wear skates at the one I went to. We still have an A & W in Milwaukee. In Florida, I went to the first Sonic one afternoon. I had to push a button to order. I just wanted to sit in peace and quiet and have lunch before I went to my next appointment. The girl brought my lunch in a bag. Apparently she wasn't used to the fact that people might want the tray and stay for a while.

They still have a franchise called Sonic here that us a drive in, but you place your order through a speaker and you can pay with your debit/credit card in the slot by the menu. Sometimes the girls deliver your food wearing roller skates. No music except from your car radio.
