My husband and I pay our mortgage monthly.
My oldest daughter rents an apartment and she pays the rent monthly.
There are some rentals and leases that can be paid weekly or bi-monthly; it depends on whether the owners are willing to set up those payment schedules.
Our mortgage lender also allows us to pay more often on the principal, we could either send in extra payments or add in a principal payment along with our monthly mortgage payment.
There are many vacation houses, condos, and apartments in my area-these can be rented daily, weekly, monthly, or for a season (2-3 months).

Monthly on all bills. Set most payments up on American Express so I don't have the hassel fo paying all these different checks...Mortgage is automatically withdrawn, all utilities are paid on Am Ex...Insurance is twice yearly, as are taxes...Basically, I have it down to writting one check a month...to American Express, and I earn points on that card! For my business, I use AmEx as mcu as possible, again, to keep the bookkeeping as simple as possible. Many cc now offer rebates of some kind, Discover, AMEX, some Visa and MasterCard..use them wherever possible, for the returns add up quickly. Just make sure you pay off the balance monthly! You do not want interest charges on them. Goldwing

It's possible that some lenders are flexible, but ours is once a month, and we prefer it that way. It's the biggest single expense we have, and it comes due when we get our pensions and IRA withdrawals. The Social Security is for food and other expenses.
