Wwhaat..?? Never heard of such! Nor have I heard the theory that birthmarks are a sign of a mothers unconscious cravings. I have a birthmark under my right breast of a bunny rabbits head, perpendicular to my belly button--like, a round circle with two perfect "ears" growing out of it. So what would that indicate? I was a rabbit in a former life? Or my mother was hungry for bunny meat? Nah, I think it's just a cute little quirk of nature.

Well, according to folklore, they are caused by unfulfilled cravings/wishes by the mother during pregnancy.

Science hasn't really looked that closely into what causes birthmarks, but it is believed that it could be some chemical imbalance during the pregnancy.

No.
It only means that your skin has a blemish when you were born.
