People have all kinds of strange full names or legal names. But they very rarely go by those names. So not, I don't think it's strange.
But my question is why you would give someone a double name unless it's some kind of family or cultural custom.
I do have an issue with parents who treat their kid like a vanity plate. You have to remember that you child is the one who has to live with the name for the rest of their lives.

Some names - Mary Anne, Sara Jane, John David - are easily paired for a first name. Both names are short, and common. At most, they have three syllables total. They work for those reasons. I think you'll also find that many Mary Beth and Rose Marie types don't have an additional middle name.
Evangeline, while a beautiful name, has four syllables to begin with. Tack on Rose or Grace and you've got five. That's just much too much. It's excessive rather than pretty. Gabriel-Micah also stumbles off the tongue with four syllables.
We all like more names than we can use for our children. Choosing is just the first of a gajillion difficult decisions in parenting. :)
That said, two middle names isn't absurd. Lots of people do it. It makes slightly more sense when you're honoring loved ones (both grandmothers' names used as middle names, for example), rather than just trying to christen your child something that would be appropriate for minor European royalty.
So, Evangeline Gabrielle-Rose and Gabriel Micah-Nikolas, if you must, but please avoid the ostentatious and awkward double given names.

I can't stand hyphenated first names. I think all that anyone needs is a first, middle and last name. If you really can't decide then two middle names but not a hyphenated name.
If its tradition then go with two middle names but don't hyphenate them, just leave them normal. I would go with
Gabrielle Morgan Lily Lastname
Morgan Gabrielle Lily Lastname
or just Gabrielle Lily Lastname
For boys I really don't like Gabriel because i think its too feminine for a boy so I would go with...
Andrew Dimitri James Lastname
Jameson Micah Dimitri Lastname
Micah Dimitri Alexander Lastname
or just Micah Alexander Lastname
best of luck

The short answer would be no, I don't think it's odd at all. Actually double first names are quite common in the South, and it's not at all unusual for a child to be given two middle names (whether they be to honor family members, a second as a confirmation name or even simply two the parents happened to love).
I do, however, find unnecessary hyphenation quite awkward. Not only does it create more problems, but it's visually unappealing and again, completely unnecessary. If you like Evangeline Rose (first name) Gabrielle (middle), you simply list it as such on the birth certificate. If her legal first "name" is Evangeline Rose, no one can argue that point. She can use both throughout her life, no punctuation necessary. ;) Likewise, if you want to use two middle names, as in the second example, you simply list Evangeline as the first name and both Gabrielle and Rose as the middles. Absolutely no need for the hyphen, and most forms won't even allow you to enter it in any case. An unnecessary hassle that only serves to bring down an otherwise nice name, if that makes sense.
I would, however, avoid both a double (first) name and more than one middle name. It just tends to come across as overkill. The only exception would be actual combo names, such as Marianne (but not Mary-Ann) or, in the above examples, something like Rosella (an Italian pet form of Rosa that happens to combine sound elements from both Rose and Gabrielle). ;)
But the "two first OR two middle" tradition you mentioned is perfectly fine. Not odd in the least. Just drop the hyphenation. ;) Hope that helps!

Its great to have two first names! I love the name Evangeline!
I'd choose Evangeline-Rose Gabrielle for a girl and Gabriel-Nikolas Micah for a boy.
I wouldnt choose to have 2 first and 2 middle names, its just a bit of a mouthful and sounds slightly odd.
Good luck,
Hayden xxx

i really like my name and i have two middle names; Sarah and Rose. i am getting confirmed soon so i will have a third name! and i have a double barreled surname so i will have six names and i love it! especially if its traditional!
i don't think two first names is very good, mainly because it will most probably get shortened to the first one.
I really like your choice of names, but i think with Evangeline-Rose Gabrielle (Two first names), it will get shortened to Eva, and rose is a lovely name and is too nice to get cut out.
Evangeline Gabrielle- Rose (Two middle names) is my fave, it is a lovely name and your daughter would be honored to have it, this is what i would use, if you child is a girl.
Evangeline-Grace Gabrielle-Rose (both two first and middle). Although it flows nicely which names like this rarely do, it is a mouth full, although it is fun to have a long name, as i said above it probably would get shortened to Eve, and grace would be lost.
and boys...
firstly i would like to say i love the spelling of Nikolas, Gabriel; and Micah!
Gabriel-Micah Nikolas (First two names), and Gabriel Micah- Nikolas (Two middle names) both sound the same when you say them, but when you just say his first name Gabriel Micah- Nikolas (Two middle names) sounds better i belive, so i would go for Gabriel Micah- Nikolas (Two middle names) for a boy.
Gabriel-Micah Nikolas-Alexander (both two first and middle names) face it its too long its about 12 sylibals on its own! and with your last name i dont think it will sound right!
Anyway it is your child name it what you wish!
But if you like the tradition stck with it if you dont, DONT! its as simple as that!
Finally i don't like hypinated names, so whatever you do, plese do not hypinate your childs name!

I really like Evangeline Gabrielle- Rose (two middles) it sounds really nice together. Although, I think that you should do what you want to do! If it's a tradition then you should probably stick with it! :)

You will have to decide for yourself as to what you feel your child will be comfortable with. My opinion is that the use of hypens to connect two of the names looks pretentious, if you are from the US. In France, it is common to have two first names for boys or girls connected with a hypen (such as Jean-Claude or Anne-Felicite). In the UK you see hyphenated double surnames amongst the upper middle class or aristocracy. But in the US it is uncommon and looks a bit la-de-dah.
As for whether it is "weird" to have two middle names, no it isn't. I have a child with two middle names and find there are few places where the second one is even recorded. Most forms have a place for only one middle name or initial. We chose to use two middle names as a way to honor both grandparents, not for any reason of appearances.
Good luck, think of what your child can easily live with the rest of her/his life.

my husband and his sister have two first names but no middles they hate it hes in the military and its very confusing on his paperwork not to mention we have been married for almost 4 years and i have never seen the same name on a document twice. He gets very angry with his mom every time he has to sign or give his name and explain it. so think twice before going with tradition and ask the other family members who have the two name thing see what they say about it.
