Since Keith is your dad's name, the middle name should be your partner's dad's name.

My son's name is Keith William. He's named after my husband's deceased grandfathers so we thought it would be a nice little tribute to them, since our grandson won't get to meet his grandfathers, but he'll share their names. Also, my husband's middle name is William, after his grandfather. I believe in using family names if you can, especially if they have passed away, as a little way to honor them in a new baby. May sound silly, but that's just my humble opinon!
