Freud would say: A man has a natural born instinct to have sex. If he doesn't satisfy it, the pressure exerted by his uncounscious on him would be too big to resist - therefore, if he can't have sex, he must replace it with something close enough: pornography, for example. In this case the solution would be to focus one's intrest on establishing a relationship with someone so he can gratify his needs in a more healthy way.

Skinner would say that one is addicted of pornography because, unlike real relationships, one always get what he wants from it: sex or orgasm, for example. So someone who is addicted of pornography has learned unconsciously that he always gets a reward from it, whereas from a real partner he might be really dissapointed. The solution in this case would be to punished yourself, or to be disapproved whenever you choose pornography, and to reward yourself or get rewarded by others whenever you do something else to replace pornography - for example, to read, to socialize etc.

Rogers would say that, if one perceives himself as unattractive and shy, he would avoid social contacts. Pornography offers everything for everyone, unlike real people. If you think you are not worthy to have a real relationship, or if you think you're not strong enough to reject pornography, you will consider yourself addicted to it, and accept it, despite your real desires. The solution would be to convince yourself, or to get help from others to become more confident that you don't need pornography, that you are stronger than it, and that you have higher needs than it.

I hope it answered to something.

Its easy. Take the following steps.

(1) Channel your time and efforts towards some other interesting stuff that you can do with the same media through which you watch porn. For example, if its TV and CD players, try to watch CDs or TV programs that are of interest to you (second to porn). If its computer, try to use yahoo answers or some other such pastimes instead of going to porn sites.

(2) Keep a large collection of porn. If you have a lot of porn, you will *never* watch the collection you already have and always try to look for the unseen. But try to force yourself to watch your collection and this makes you lose interest after a while.

This applies for both men and woman. Some women watch porn like they are about to die within 30 minutes and want to watch all the porn they can watch.
