Im the same was completely mortified for them when she first went missing. Then the more I read and see the more confused I am. Think the advise they are being given is crap. I would never have left Portugal when they did they ran when they should have stood fast if they believe in their convictions. Too many people want to cash in on this families heart ache. Cant believe that they are so stupid that they cannot see this. What are the authorities in Portugal doing now. Nothing. Get back over there Gerry and Kate put the pressure on them.

because they have 'something' that they want to hide.
Can I answer your question by giving you a few more?
1) Someone finds DNA traces of your dead child in your boot - Do you A) Shout and demand answers as to which of your friends might be involved in her disappearance or B) Deny it.
2) Do you A) set up a private phoneline to a company on your pay roll to receive information or do you B) beg people to phone an anonymous police line where calls will be logged and full information gained.
3) Do you A) search for your daughter or B) do you decide to go back home and rely on slightly mad members of the public to spot her.
4) Do you describe your daugther as A) your reason for living, the light of your life, the most beautiful creature that you have ever have the pleasure of knowing or do you describe her as B) 'lovely'.
5) When asked how you feel about your daughter being missing and possibly in the clutches of evil strangers is it really enough to say "We're not as happy without her, we're a bit anxious"?

McCanns again.
Ok, I have something to say about the McCanns. Which probably has never being said before.
Imagine if the McCanns were 15 years younger. It would all have being blamed on their age. Thank God they're older, and so they can just see them for what they are -- doctors who are stupid enough to drug up their kids cause they're too selfish to spend too much time iwth them.
But my heart does go out to them in a way, it must be horrible to lose a child....

1. Possibly the questions were ambiguous
2. Fear of being arrested and twins being taken into care
3. Afraid of the Portugues Police
4. He will give unambiguous answers
Those are my sensible answers. The following are my answers with great suspicion of the parents:
1. they had something to hide
2. They fled incase the Police had proof of their wrong doing
3. They're guilty and don't want to be in prison in Portugal
4. They're afraid they will condemn themselves by slipping up

i think they are guilty, maybe not of murder but of drugging their kids and leaving them alone in a room in a foreign country while they went off down the road for a meal! its wrong, why in this day of age would you do that?
